The Friendship Art Club recently awarded two area high school graduates with scholarships as part of the club’s longstanding commitment to continuing art education.
The winners received a check and a certificate presented by Club President Melanie McMeans and Treasurer Yolanda Alderson. Scholarship funds are raised through the annual drawing held in conjunction with the club’s Arts and Crafts Show each fall.

Ariana Figueroa is graduating from Medina Valley High School. She intends to major in Chemical Engineering. She plans to continue her art during college. She has enrolled in UTSA to continue her education.
