Warhorse Head Basketball Coach Jacob Alegria is wasting little time getting his players game action as they have now played 8 ballgames in about two weeks after yesterday’s contest against Laredo Martin and hit the road to Jourdanton this Saturday after their tryptophan has hopefully worn off from their Thanksgiving turkey.
“We have been racking up the miles and points,” Alegria said about his 4-3 squad as of this past Monday. “After opening the season with a tough loss to the #11 ranked Wimberley Texans, we reeled off three straight wins to get some momentum going.”
Devine defeated the San Antonio Highland Owls 70-60 behind the strong scoring of Mason Beaver who knocked down 32 points. Karson Ray was next with 16.
Ray’sean Beaver dealt 10 assists while Tanner Davis was hauling down 15 rebounds against the Owls.
