Lytle Police Report

Monday, September 09
12:15 AM – Assist Medina County Sheriff’s Office / Vehice Pursuit – Main St. @ Prairie St. – Officer responded and assisted in stopping a vehicle where MCSO arrested the driver for evading in a Motor Vehicle. The officer was not involved in the pursuit.
2:17 AM – 19300 Blk. N. Prairie St. – Officer responded of for two males wearing white hoodies with backpacks jumping over fences but could not locate them.
5:52 AM – 19400 Blk. Blume St. – Officer responded to a report of a go-cart found in the grass at her residence that did not belong to her. The go-cart was returned to its owner, who lived a few homes down from where it was located.
6:42 AM – 14600 Blk. FM 2790 – Officer responded to an unoccupied vehicle parked in the bank parking lot.
8:15 AM – 19400 Blk. Blume Dr. – Officer responded to the report of a 2018 Chevrolet Cruz and a 2020 Dodge Ram being burglarized.
9:16 AM – 19300 Blk. McDonald St. – Officer responded to a 51 year old female being cited and released for theft <$100. Subject admitted to shoplifting cat food on a previous visit on 9/5/2024.
11:24 AM – 15300 Blk. Houston St. – Officer responded to the report of vehicle burglary. A Ruger 380 was stolen but later recovered.
11:29 AM – 15200 Blk. Cottage St. – Officer responded to a rummaged-through unlocked vehicle. There was no damage, and nothing was taken from the vehicle.


1:58 PM – Lytle High School – Officers investigated and identified three juvenile suspects for numerous car burglaries and thefts on 9/3 and 9/4/2024. All stolen property was recovered.
7:19 PM – Assist Medina County Sheriff’s Office – IH 35 @ MM 131 – Officer responded to assist with a female lying in the grass but was canceled while enroute.
8:48 PM – 15000 Blk. Main St. – Officers initiated a traffic stop for speeding, which resulted in the arrest of a 38 year old male for failing to identify and giving false/fictitious info – fugitive. Subject also had an active theft warrant out of Bexar County. Mark was booked into the Atascosa County Jail.
11:40 PM – 15200 Blk. Adams St. – Officer responded to a barking dog. No criminal activity was found, and officers continued to patrol the area throughout the night.
Tuesday, September 10
6:51 AM – IH 35 Frontage Rd. @ FM 3175 – Officer observed a stop sign that was hit and contacted TxDOT.
7:40 AM – Lytle PD – The officer spoke to a female requesting a criminal trespass removal that she had initiated.
8:20 AM – Lytle PD – Officer spoke to a complainant about a kid’s bike that was missing and found down the street.
9:20 AM – 14800 Blk. Main St. – Officers provided a funeral escort.
11:13 AM – Lytle PD – Officer released recovered property to the owner.
12:45 PM – Lytle PD – Officer released recovered property to the owner.
3:02 PM – Lytle PD – Officer released recovered property to the owner.
3:20 PM – FM 2790 E. near Farmer Dr. – Officer responded to a reckless Ford F-150 but could not locate it.
6:26 PM – 15000 Blk. Main St. – Officer responded to an unwanted customer.
7:23 PM – Stratford Cove @ Farmer Dr. – Officer was flagged down by a resident regarding a lost German Shepherd puppy.
8:30 PM – Lonesome Cove @ Butch Cassidy – Officers responded and found the male was a drywall worker working the subdivision.
11:11 PM – Live Oak St. @ Mason St. – Officers responded to a 911 hangup. The caller was a child playing on the phone.
Wednesday, September 11
12:38 AM – 15200 Blk. Main St. – Officer observed a male in the back of the business. Investigation discovered he was picking up his vehicle.
5:49 AM – Assist Lytle VFD – 19600 Blk. S. Benton St. Officers responded to a house fire with no injuries. The homeowner and the Lytle VFD extinguished the fire. The Fire Marshal’s Office is conducting the investigation.
6:17 AM – IH 35 SB @ FM 3175 – Officer responded to a one-vehicle non-injury accident.
8:09 AM – Assist Atascosa EMS – 18800 Blk. Wisdom Rd. – Officers responded to assist a patient having a medical emergency.
4:10 PM – 19300 Blk. N. Prairie St. – Officers responded to a child not picked up from school. While performing a welfare check on the parent, MCSO found the parent suffering from a medical emergency.
6:25 PM – 15000 Blk. Main St. – Officers responded to a child not picked up from daycare.
10:03 PM – 19700 Blk. IH 35 Frontage Rd. – Officers responded to a 911 hangup, and the individual said they were okay.
Thursday, September 12
2:35 AM – 15100 Blk. Main St. – Officers observed a homeless female sleeping on the ground. The female left the area.
5:04 PM – Main St. @ McDonald St. – Officers pursued a stolen blue and white 1995 Peterbilt tractor. The vehicle was recovered. The truck was stolen out of Mason Co.
6:35 PM – Main St. @ Somerset St. – Officer checked on a homeless female on the side of the roadway.
6:39 PM – 19300 Blk. McDonald St. – Officer responded to check on a female. Everything was okay.
7:00 PM – 19300 Blk. McDonald St. – Officer responded to unlock a 2013 Chrysler 200.
8:50 PM – Assist Atascosa County Sheriff’s Office – John Lott Park – Officer responded to help look for a missing girl but could not find her.
Friday, September 13
1:10 AM – Main St. @ McDonald St. – Officer initiated a traffic stop for an expired motor vehicle registration, which resulted in a vehicle pursuit. The pursuit was terminated for the safety of the public.
3:18 AM – 19500 Blk. S. Somerset St. – Officers responded to a loud noise behind the resident’s home but could not find the source.
1:45 PM – 19300 Blk. McDonald St. – Officers responded to an attempted theft. HEB staff recovered $228 in merchandise. The suspect was later identified, charges pending.
6:05 PM – 14800 Blk. Star – Cross Trail Officer responded to a welfare check at the above address. The resident was out of town.
7:13 PM – 19500 Blk. McDonald St. – Officer responded to the report of a panhandler but could not find him.
7:52 PM – Assist Atascosa EMS – 15000 Blk. Main St. – Officer responded to assist a patient having a medical emergency.
8:46 PM – 15400 Blk. Houston St. – Officer responded to a report of an earlier verbal disturbance.
10:40 PM – 19400 Blk. McDonald St. – Officer responded to a possible intoxicated person but could not find them.
Saturday, September 14
12:50 AM – Adams St. @ N. Benton St. – Officer observed an ill female. Everything was okay.
1:27 AM – Assist Atascosa County Sheriff’s Office –1400 Blk. FM 2790 – Officer responded outside the city limits of Lytle to assist a male who was not answering his phone. Everything was okay.
2:11 AM – 19300 Blk. McDonald St. – Officers responded to a male entering the store after business hours.
3:55 AM – 15300 Blk. Pecan St. – Officers responded to an unwanted guest that resulted in a verbal disturbance.
10:08 AM – N. Prairie St. @ Lake St. – Officer assisted in changing a flat tire for a female motorist.
10:53 AM – Bruce St. @ Lytle-Somerset St. – Officer responded to a report of door-to-door salesmen.
2:42 PM – IH 35 @ FM 3175 – Officers responded and discovered everything was okay.
2:56 PM – 14800 Blk. Main St. – Officers responded to an unwanted customer but were canceled before arrival.
3:30 PM – 19900 Blk. FM 3175 – Officers responded and arrested a 45 year old female for Public Intoxication. Subject was booked into the Atascosa County Jail.
8:05 PM – 15300 Blk. Cottage St. – Officer responded to a welfare check and found everything was okay.
9:50 PM – 15000 Blk. Main St. – Officer responded to a report of a damaged dryer.
Sunday, September 15
12:50 AM – Assist Atascosa County Sheriff’s Office – Las Polomas Dr. – Officer responded outside the city limits of Lytle to assist in looking for a red pickup truck but was unable to locate it.
8:23 AM – 14600 Blk. Main St. – Officer placed a tow warning sticker (that the truck was to be towed if not moved) on a tractor truck parked on the side of the roadway.
9:03 AM – 15300 Blk. Cottage St. – Officer responded to a welfare check and found everything was okay.
8:55 AM – Lytle PD – Officer received a wallet/purse found on FM 2790 near Luckey Rd. The purse was returned to its owner.
11:55 AM – 19300 Blk. S. Somerset St. – Officers responded to an unwanted visitor.
12:34 PM – Assist Atascosa EMS – 19300 Blk. McDonald St. – Officers responded to assist a patient having a medical emergency.
2:50 PM – 15100 Blk. Main St. – Officers responded to an unwanted customer.
6:42 PM – 18000 Blk. Wisdom Rd. – Officer initiated a traffic stop for speeding, which resulted in the impounding of a 2004 Chevrolet Malibu because the driver had an expired MVR, no insurance, and a suspended driver’s license.
9:30 PM – IH 35 Frontage Rd. @ Saddle Ridge – Officer observed a vehicle with hazard lights on. The driver was having transmission problems,
10:39 PM – FM 2790 @ IH 35 Frontage Rd. – Officers responded to the report of a male walking the road but could not find him.
11:41 PM – Main St. @ Diaz St. – Officer assisted with traffic control for a stranded motorist who ran out of gas.
