CDR Joe Lacy, United States Naval Reserve (Ret.)

Joe Lacy, age 88, passed away on Friday, June 9, 2017.
He was born on July 13, 1928 in Ardmore, Oklahoma to the late Theodore R. and Eula Short Lacy.
After completing high school, he joined the Navy and was later accepted into the United States Naval Academy where he obtained a degree in Electrical Engineering. A proud veteran of the US Navy, Joe retired after 20 years of service with the rank of Commander. In his spare time, he took pleasure in playing golf and bowling, at one time serving as President of the San Antonio Bowling Association. He also spent several years as an ROTC instructor and math teacher at Antonian College Prep School. One of his passions was fishing and loved his trips to Virginia understanding the best catches were to be his!
He was preceded in death by his parents and by his loving wife of 42 years, Sandra A. Lacy.
He was the best Dad, and will be deeply missed by his children, Richard Lacy (Elaine), James Lacy (Cindy), Darlene R. Tomlinson (Brian); grandchildren, Joey, Brandon, Lisa (Robert), Nicole, Ryan, Briana, A. J., Joe, and Jake; great-grandchildren, Cayden and Haylee; sister, Eva Petty; family members and friends.
