Lytle Police Report Aug. 16-22

Aug. 16
5:12 AM – Officer responded to 15400 Blk. of Main St. in reference to burglary lights going off. Officer checked the residence, all doors were secured.
11:59 AM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and turned in a shotgun that he found alongside the roadway on the 14000 Blk. of Old Frio Rd. A routine check revealed that the firearm was reported stolen out of San Antonio P.D.
3:18 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a physical disturbance. Further investigation revealed the altercation was all verbal.
3:23 PM – Officer responded to 19400 Blk. of S. Somerset St. for a report of a two vehicle crash. Officers were delayed due to the family disturbance call, both parties departed prior to officer’s arrival.
5:02 PM – Officer responded to Best Western Plus for a report of an unruly customer. Officer made contact with the complainant and the other involved party. The argument was all verbal and the suspect was asked to leave the property.
7:20 PM – Traffic stop at Lytle-Somerset St. and Bruce St. resulted in the arrest of two juveniles. Both juveniles were cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia and released.
8:30 PM – Offices responded to HEB Plus for an individual who stated she was reversing from her parking space and hit a parked truck causing minor damage to her vehicle.
Aug. 17
1:17 AM – Traffic stop at 14900 Bk. Of Main St. resulted in the arrest of a 37-year-old male subject for Possession of Controlled Substance PG 1A < 1g. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
5:00 AM – Officers responded to 19200 Blk. of First St. for a report of a civil matter – property dispute.
7:38 AM – Complainant called the Police Station a reported an unknown person(s) stole a flatbed trailer owned by his employer. The trailer was parked in a temporary designated TXDOT yard. The trailer was last seen on 8/17/21. A Craftsman Generator and two Husqvarna Saws were stored on the trailer. Total estimated loss $7,049.
9:16 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Dental for a report of a check that was sent from United Concordia Insurance and deposited into another account at the Wells Fargo Bank for Lytle Dental for $596.14.
10:20 AM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a hit & run.
10:34 AM – Officer responded to 3000 Blk. of Hwy. 132 N for a report f a civil matter – property dispute.
1:15 PM – Officer talked to complainant who wanted to report an incident that occurred on 8/12/21. The caller stated he was driving south on IH 35 about a mile past the HEB Plus. The caller stated a truck passed him and a rock bounced out of the unsecured trailer breaking the windshield on his 2008 Toyota Highlander.
2:15 PM – Officer responded to Hwy. 132 S for a report of a vehicle driving recklessly. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
8:40 PM – Officer responded to 19000 Blk. of Live Oak St. to unlock a vehicle.
Aug. 18
3:20 AM – Traffic stop at IH 35 NB Frontage Rd. and W FM 2790 S resulted in the arrest of a 41-year-old male subject for Fraud Possession/Use Credit or Debit Card. He was also cited for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
7:59 AM – Officer responded to StarCross Trail and Lytle-Somerset St. for a report of a suspicious male and female riding bicycles. The two riders were observed and identified at the intersection of Mesquite St. and S Benton St. The riders stated they were on their way to HEB and then back to Atascosa.
4:15 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
8:50 PM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to complainant in reference to a possible drug deal between a man on a bike and a pedestrian. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
11:52 PM – Traffic stop resulted in the arrest of a 48-year-old subject for having an Active Warrant out of the 156th District Court (San Patricio Co.) on an Original Charge of Assault with a Deadly Weapon. The 49-year-old female passenger was found to also have an Active Warrant out of Bexar Co. for an Original Charge of Criminal Trespass. Both were booked into the Atascosa Co. Jail.
Aug. 19
2:42 AM – Officers responded to 200 Blk. of Blue Quail to assist Atascosa Co. Deputy with a 911 call regarding a woman being not allowed to leave her residence by her husband. Officer stood by as the woman gathered her belongings and 5 YO daughter and left.
4:22 AM – While patrolling at The Gathering Church officers noticed a man sleeping in his car in the parking lot. Officers spoke to the man who said he was having drama with his spouse and trying to avoid problems by sleeping away from home.
9:03 AM – Officers responded to HEB C-Store for a welfare check on a female sleeping behind the wheel at the gas pump. The female was just tired and everything was okay.
5:11 PM – Officers responded to McDonald St. at Railroad St. for a report of a two vehicle crash.
6:16 PM – Officer responded to 14900 Blk. of Adams St. for a report of suspicious activity. The homeowner stated some of his roof shingles were missing from the stack on the side of his house. The homeowner did not want to file a theft report but wanted extra patrols until he could get his utility trailer out of the residence the next day.
7:39 PM – Officer responded to 19000 Blk. of Mason St. for a report of a civil matter, a verbal disturbance that occurred on 8/16/21 between two neighbors.
Aug. 20
1:30 AM – Officers responded to 16100 Blk. of Jacobs Path for a report of a car alarm sounding off. Officers were unable to locate any foul play.
3:25 PM – Officers responded to Martine St at Oak St. for a report of a two vehicle crash striking a natural gas meter. Lytle Vol. Fire Dept. made the scene and Lytle Public Works was able to turn off the gas. CPS was notified.
4:01 PM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to her being harassed.
8:12 PM – Vehicle unlock at the John Lott Park resulted in the arrest of a 34-year-old female subject for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Subject was also given a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
9:05 PM – Officer responded to Dollar General for a report of an activated front door alarm. Officer discovered a citizen at the closed store who possibly activated the alarm by pulling on the front door.
Aug. 21
12:20 AM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of found property, a baggie that contained a white crystal-like substance. The baggie was taken and logged into evidence.
5:06 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Nursing Home for a report of a natural death.
5:35 AM – Officer responded to Bill Miller BBQ for a report of an alarm. An employee accidentally set off the alarm.
9:49 AM – Officer responded to One Stop Storage for a report of a storage unit theft. Upon arrival, it was discovered furniture, pots & pans and family pictures were stolen sometime in the last two months. Total estimated loss $790.
10:41 AM – Officer responded to Naomi’s Diner to unlock a vehicle.
10:55 AM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to a road rage with a female she believed to be an off-duty police officer from an unknown agency. Incident started at FM 2790 and IH 35 and the confrontation occurred on a business on Main St.
11:32 AM – Officers responded to Mockingbird Lane and assisted Atascosa Co. to look for a wanted person that ran into the woods.
1:55 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a hit & run.
5:25 PM – Officer responded to Dollar Tree for a report of a hit & run.
11:58 PM – Officers responded to 19800 Blk. of IH 35 S for a report of a suspicious male looking through vehicles. The male was a guest of the hotel waiting for a ride.
Aug. 22
1:454 AM – Officers responded to 19800 Blk. of IH 35 S for a report of a 911 hang up call. Officers made contact with the guest and established her 5 YO son accidentally pressed the emergency call button.
5:01 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Nursing Home for a report of a natural death.
7:08 AM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in front of the store. All was okay, the driver was using his Android tablet.
11:20 AM – Officer responded to 18800 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. for a report of an assault by a family member. Case is under investigation. A warrant for Aggravated Assault was acquired and served later in the day on the suspect.
12:40 PM – Officer responded to Trophy Buck for a report of a white stolen cargo van. The trailer also had 2 trash bags of Axis pillows valued at $300 each, a Dewalt drill and tied-down straps.
3:25 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 at FM 2790 for a report of a welfare check on an elderly man walking on the highway. The male had run out of gas and called AAA for gas and was waiting to eat at Bill Millers.
4:17 PM – Officer responded to Bill Miller BBQ for a report of a missing person. A welfare check resulted in the discovery of a 71 YO male with diminishing mental capabilities out of Nacogdoches, TX. There was not family to pick up the elderly male.
4:45 PM – Officer responded to Cricket Wireless for a report of an unruly customer. The subject departed prior to officer’s arrival.
7:00 PM – Officers responded to IH 35 at Mile Marker 131 NB to assist a motorist to get a gas canister and put a couple of gallons of gas so that a stranded vehicle on IH 35 could be moved to the police station due it belonging to a missing person who was at the Police Station. Officer arrived at the vehicle and put enough gas to drive it to the Police Station.
8:37 PM – Officers were dispatched to the 15300 Blk. of Newton St. for a Lytle PD Warrant. A 19-year-old female subject was arrested for Assault with Deadly Weapon – Family Member. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
11:08 PM – Officer responded to 14800 Blk. of Lytle-Somerset Rd. for a report of three juvenile females knocking on the door stating they wanted to start a fight with the complainant’s daughter. Officer arrived and spoke with the complainant.
