Eloy Vela Hernandez, Sr. age 69 of Devine, Texas passed away on March 10, 2021.
Eloy was born on November 13, 1951 to parents, Julian Hernandez Sr., and Genoveva Vela Hernandez.
Eloy is preceded in death by his son, Eloy Hernandez, Jr.; wife, Diana Yanez Hernandez; mother, Genoveva Hernandez; and brothers, Raul and Eliseo Hernandez of Pearsall, Texas.
Eloy is survived by his father Julian Hernandez, Sr; daughters, Maryellen Hernandez and Veronica Hernandez; son-in-law, Gerson “Jose” Medina; grandchildren, Sonny Alexander Hernandez, Joslyn Arianna Hernandez, Eloy Anthony Posos, Isabella Diane Camacho, and Dylan Desi Camacho; great granddaughter, Mykenley Grace Hernandez; and numerous siblings, nieces, nephews, godchildren, friends, and neighbors that he deeply loved.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, March 14, 2021 from 2:00 P.M. – 9:00 P.M. with a Rosary recited at 7:00 P.M. located at the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Devine, Texas. Mass will be held on Monday, March 15, 2021 at 10:00 A.M. Located at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Devine, Texas with internment to follow in St. Joseph’s Catholic cemetery.
