Warhorse Israel Reyes 6th place at State!

Junior Warhorse powerlifter Israel Reyes capped off his tremendous 2024 campaign on the state’s highest stage as he placed 6th overall at State in Abilene. There were 28 total lifters in the 181-pound division.
Reyes squatted 600-pounds, benched 385-pounds, and deadlifted 530-pounds to set his personal total-record at 1,515 pounds. Reyes and Head Coach Paul Gomez are proud of what Israel accomplished this season and are looking forward to bigger and better things in 2025…

Natalia has a State Champion! Mustang Powerlifter Adrian Lopez totaled 1,170lbs March 22 in Abilene at the State Meet to stake his claim to the championship belt in the 123-pound weight class.
Lopez squatted 425lbs, benched 255lbs, and deadlifted 490lbs to edge out runner-up Carlos Flores of Quitman who totaled 1,165lls going 435lbs, 315lbs, and 415lbs in the same categories.
Only four of 26 lifters in the 123lb-division weighed under 120lbs. Lopez was the only one to finish in the top 13 as he tilted the scale at 117.4 during the weigh-in process…

Lytle Powerlifters Mario Diaz and Luke Estrada lifted their way to 2nd and 3rd place respectively in Abilene March 22 at the State Meet. Diaz totaled 1,685lbs in the 198lb division and Estrada totaled 1,365lbs in the 148lb division.
Diaz squatted 670lbs, benched and even 400lbs, and deadlifted 615lbs to place behind champion Gerardo Gonzalez of Cotulla who put up 1,765lbs going 700lbs, 500lbs, and 565lbs in the same categories.

Devine scored 150 points to beat District 29-4A foe Pearsall who finished with 131 points. The JV placed 6th with 53 points.
Donovan Dixon had two gold-medal performances with one in the 400m and the other in 800m. Tanner Davis leaped his way to gold in High Jump while Ismael Torres finished at the highest level in Pole Vault.

Arabian track team champs, JV runner-up at Warhorse Stadium
Kylie Monreal hands off to Kourtni Geyer in the 4x100m Relay which took the gold. Monreal had the most outstanding day, winning gold in each of the five events she competed in.

The Arabians over-doubled their competitors in points scored at Warhorse Stadium last Wednesday as the track team took the championship by scoring a whopping 235 points to easily outdistance runner-up Hondo who tallied 102.5. Carrizo Springs was a distant third with 91 points.
The JV did not do to shabby either, placing as runner-up with 98 points compared to team-champion Bandera who put up 179 points.

The 7th and 8th Filly track teams did not treat their guests at last Wednesday’s meet at Warhorse Stadium very friendly as they put up 499 points between them as they staked their claim to both team championships.
The 7th grade Fillys amassed 268 points to easily outdistance themselves from runner-up Bandera who scored 147 while the 8th grade Fillys racked up 231 points to also beat Bandera who tallied 135.5.
Gold medal winning 7th graders included Dresden Talamantes, Claira Gulley, Brooklyn Hinnant, Vida Solis, Emma McIver, Amy Outlaw, and Reese Schueling.
