Our mother, Martha Ann Wells Barnhill, of Devine, Texas, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 1, 2024, after a short battle with pancreatic cancer. She was 75.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sherry Ann “Clawson” Hebert. On June 29, 2024, the world lost a kind and resilient soul. Sherry was born on September 6, 1963, and during her life, she touched the lives of many with her infectious laughter and unwavering positivity.
Essie Louise DuBose
Essie Louise DuBose age 89 of Devine, Texas entered eternal rest on Friday, July 5, 2024. She was born on April 18, 1935, to parents George Ashby and Cora Ethel Garrett in Frio County, Texas.
Essie was a loving, caring, mother and friend. Everyone who knew her was blessed to know such a kind heart.
Jo Ann Tate Null
July 16, 1933 — May 27, 2024, Lytle, Texas
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our mom, Jo Ann Null, of Lytle, Tx. Mom was preceded in death by her parents, John Lester “Leck” Tate and Doris Blanke Tate, and her husband, Jimmy Null. She leaves behind many who loved her, including her daughters, Debra McCartney (husband Ron McCartney) and Dr. Cynthia Gans; and her sons Carl Null, Jay Null and Mark Null (wife Barbara Null). She had 7 grandkids and 13 great grandkids. Her house was always full and loud. She also left behind who knows how many dogs, cats, chickens and various other animals. Mom and her family have roots to Lytle that go as far back as the 1800’s. Two members of mom’s family fought in the Battle of the Alamo.
Rhonda Gayle St Clair Marcum
Rhonda Gayle St Clair Marcum of Natalia went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, June 29, 2024.
She was born in San Antonio, TX on May 5, 1952.
Rhonda was raised in Corpus Christi, TX where she graduated from Mary Carroll High School. She was an Aqua Angel, a Tigerette, and a church pianist for several years.
Alex Hernandez, Jr.
Alex Hernandez, Jr. 84, Devine, Texas was born May 15, 1940 died on June 26, 2024 at the age of 84 years at home.
Preceded in death by parents: Guadalupe San Miguel Hernandez and Alex Hernandez of St. Hedwig, TX.
Survived by wife Karen Willene Grotfeldt Hernandez of Devine, TX. Sister: Gloria (Gustalvo) Soto of Bellflower, CA; Brother: Hector Jarmillo of Westminster, CA.
Joyce Lee Dye
Joyce Lee Dye, of Devine, TX went to our Lord, on Friday, June 28, 2024, at the age of 89. Joyce was born on January 29, 1935, to Newton Lee and Ella A. Curtis Lee. Joyce is survived by her brother Roy Lee and Irma, sister Diana Scoggins and Charles, son Marion George Du Bose and Pamela, Daughters: Sharlene Du Bose Mc Kinney and Bill, Sherry Du Bose Moore and Perry, Grandchildren: Shelly Powers, Kyle McKinney, Christi Huerta and Leon, Nathan Moore and Angelita, Matthew Moore, Michael Du Bose and Courtney, Rhonda Clark, Stacy Sharber, James Sharber; great-grandchildren: Haley, Karley, Conner, Devin and Corbin D., Kaleb, Corbin W., McKinsey, Ethan, Madeline, Madison, and Michael, Justin, Jacob, Mykenzie, Cameran, Bree, Jade, Matthew.
Linda Rae (Keith) Barrow
July 6, 1947 – March 9, 2024

Funeral will be held on Saturday, June 29, 2024 at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Devine.
Robert Redus
Robert Redus, 76, of Sabinal passed away on June 3, 2024, at Methodist Stone Oak Hospital in San Antonio.
He was born on February 15, 1948, in San Marcos, Texas to Loretta (Perkins) and Guy Redus.
Robert graduated from Natalia High School, class of 1966.
He is survived by his brother, Joe Redus of Sabinal, many cousins, friends and close teammates.
He is preceded in death by his parents Guy and Loretta Redus; grandparents, John and Hazel Redus; and uncle and aunt, George and Kay Redus.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday June 20 at 1:00 PM at FBC Sabinal.
