UTSA presents vision plan for IH-35 development, downtown revitalization

The UTSA team presented a number of different 3D renderings of what downtown Devine could look like. This shows the revitalized grain silo, Driscoll Public Library, and train depot.
This rendering features the train depot in the foreground. To the left is a revitalized version of the current City Hall, which the USTA team envisioned as the new location of the Driscoll Public Library and George S. Woods Community Center. Also visible are the rehabbed grain silo, currently-derelict historic buildings, and the Four Corners.

Representatives from UTSA’s Center for Urban and Regional Planning Research and the Rural Business Program presented a vision plan for the future of Devine from IH-35 down Hwy. 173 to the downtown district in a public meeting held in the George S. Woods Community Center on March 30.
