Angels in the Fairway Golf Tournament Sept 23

The Devine Golf Course will be the site of the 1st Annual Angels in the Fairway Golf Tournament on September 23rd, 2023 with registration beginning at 9a.m. and a shot gun start at 11a.m.
The entry fee is $150 per player which includes the green fee, cart and lunch. The format is 4 person scramble (red & white tees only). The first place payout is $1,600, second place is $1,200 and third place $600.
The tournament is a fundraiser for the Samantha Buvinghausen scholarship fund, the Dillon Burleson Memorial and the Jacob Sanchez Scholarship. All were proud members of DHS class of 2006.

BBQ Fundraiser supporting Mission Devine this Saturday
The Devine Wesleyan Fellowship (a member of the Global Methodist Church) will be hosting a BBQ PLATE FUNDRAISER to benefit MISSION DEVINE on September 16th at the Devine Community Center starting at 11:00AM – until sold out. The plates will be sold for $12.00 each. In addition DWF Youth Group will be selling drinks for $1.00 each. A Bake Sale will also available.
Both dine-in and takeout will be available.

Class of 1963 Reunion Brunch Oct. 14th

The 1963 class of Devine High is holding a reunion brunch on Saturday, October 14th, of the full reunion. Brunch will be held at Charlie’s Daughter Restaurant at 10 AM. All whoever attended with our class are included and spouses. Please RSVP at maryruth3719@gmail.com or 512-415-8959.

Tickets on sale for St. Andrew’s Octoberfest drawings, BBQ pit is grand prize


St. Andrew’s Catholic Church in Lytle is hosting a drawing with a grand prize of a double door BBQ Pit, which can be seen under the pavilion next to the church in the bargain shopping area.
The drawing will be held October 8th during the annual Octoberfest beginning at 10:30 pm. Tickets are $5 each and prizes will be awarded up to 24th place.
Grand prize is a double door BBQ Pit, second prize is $3,000, 3rd prize is $2,000, 4th prize is $1,000, 5th through 9th prize is $500, 10th through 14th prize is $300, 15th through 19th prize is $200 and 20th through 24th prize is $100. The cash prizes will be awarded in credit cash cards. Winners must claim their prizes within 30 days but need not be present to win.

Devine Cactus Festival Parade Nov. 4th, sign up entries now


The Devine Chamber of Commerce invites you to participate in the Devine Cactus Festival Parade on Saturday, November 4, 2023. The Parade will being at 10 am and entries will need to be placed by 8:45 am for judging.
The Parade is the kickoff for the 62nd anniversary of the Devine Cactus Festival. The Cactus Festival is graciously hosted by the City of Devine and held each year in the downtown area in and around the Devine Community Center, American Momentum Bank, and many other local businesses. The Cactus Festival boasts a wide variety of live music on two entertainment stages, carnival, 65+ retail vendors, and 15+ food booths.
