Msgt. Valdemar “Jerry” Castillo Jaramillo

August 24, 1934 – January 8, 2024

We are sad to announce the passing of our beloved father (retired) MSGT Valdemar “Jerry” Castillo Jaramillo. Dad went to be with our Lord on January 8, 2024, at the age of 89 years old. He was born in Devine, Texas, the son of Francisco Del-Puig Jaramillo and Angelita Castillo Jaramillo. Valdemar was married to Gloria Medina Jaramillo for 37 years and had three children, Valdemar Castillo Jaramillo, Jr., Jesse Edward Jaramillo, and Diane Jaramillo Juarez. Valdemar remarried on September 2, 1997, to Gloria Chapa Kaiser from Devine, Texas, they were married for 27 years.

Lawrence R. (Ralph) Rogers

Lawrence R. (Ralph) Rogers, 79, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2024, in Menard, Texas.
Lawrence was born in San Antonio to Walter and Helen (Bush) Rogers on August 13, 1944.
He attended school in Devine and graduated in 1962. He was an accomplished athlete and was known for his quickness and speed which would earn him a basketball scholarship to Del Mar College in Corpus Christi, Texas.
