On the night of August 19, 2026, our precious son passed from this world, at the age of 33. Nick showed courage and strength to the very end.
Though his life was short, it was filled with love, laughter, and memories. Nick adored school (NISD).His hobbies were watching DVD’s, music, swimming, pleasure rides, shopping and his momma singing to him.
Nick taught us to treasure the simple moments of life; to love each other without limitations. Nick’s smile could light up the room. His laughs (i.e. belly laughs) were highly contagious and had everyone rolling on the floor laughing along with him.
Nick is survived by his parents Arie M Cochran Jr. and Maria Light Cochran, numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Our family had chosen cremation; Nick’s ashes will be placed in a simple urn at home, along with many photos and mementos of him.
We thank the surgical/trauma staff at Hospice of Baylor, Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas. Their compassionate care and support will long be remembered.
A memorial honoring Nicholas’ life will be announced at a later date. Friends, neighbors are invited to share stories, memories, and love.
Little Did We Know
Little did we know that night that God would call your name. In life we loved you dearly; in death we do the same. It broke our hearts to lose you, but you did not go alone. For part of us went with you, the day God called you home. You left us many memories, and your love is still our guide. And though we cannot see you, you are always by our side. Our family chain is broken, and nothing seems the same. But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again.
