Natalia Police Report
08/10/2026 – Recovered Stolen Vehicle – At approximately 0250 hours, officers responded to a business located in the 21000 block of FM 471 S. for a report of a recovered stolen vehicle. The vehicle owner had located his stolen vehicle and contacted the Natalia Police Department, who determined the vehicle was located outside the department’s jurisdiction. The appropriate outside agency was contacted to respond, process the scene, and recover the vehicle.
08/12/2026 – Disturbance / Criminal Mischief – At approximately 0820 hours, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Stallion Trail for a report of an unruly subject causing a disturbance. Officers determined the subject had committed criminal mischief and was behaving in an erratic manner, possibly experiencing a psychiatric episode. The subject was detained and transported for a psychological evaluation. Criminal mischief charges will be filed in connection with the incident.
08/12/2026 – Dog Bite – At approximately 2100 hours, officers responded to the intersection of 6th Street and Aubrey Street for a report of a dog bite. Officers made contact with the reported victim and during the investigation, the individual refused to provide additional information or pursue the matter any further. With no further action requested, officers cleared the scene and returned to service.
08/14/2026 – Burglar Alarm – At approximately 0830 hours, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Heather Hollow Street for a report of an activated burglar alarm. Officers checked the exterior perimeter of the residence, including the doors and windows. Nothing suspicious was observed, and there were no signs of forced entry or attempted burglary. Officers determined the residence was secure, cleared the scene, and returned to service.
08/15/2026 – Soliciting Without a Permit – At approximately 1130 hours, officers were contacted regarding a man going door-to-door and possibly soliciting. Officers located and made contact with the individual and determined that he was soliciting without the required permit. The individual was instructed to stop soliciting and leave the area. He complied without incident.
08/15/2026 – Vehicle Obstructing Traffic – At approximately 1400 hours, officers responded to the area of IH-35 and FM 471 for a report of a vehicle obstructing traffic. Officers located the vehicle and determined that it was potentially creating a traffic hazard. The vehicle was tagged, and officers will follow up after 48 hours and have the vehicle removed if it remains at the location.
08/15/2026 – Suspicious Vehicle / Traffic Incident – At approximately 1530 hours, officers were dispatched to the 100 block of 3rd Street East for a report of a motorist who stated that another vehicle had run him off the roadway. Officers met with the complainant, who was unable to provide a make, model, or license plate number for the suspect vehicle. The complainant was only able to provide a general color and description. Officers patrolled the surrounding area but were unable to locate a vehicle matching the description.
08/15/2026 – Disturbance – At approximately 2237 hours, officers were dispatched to the 400 block of Bartlett Street for a reported disturbance. Officers determined that the disturbance involved a couple and had remained verbal in nature. Officers separated the two individuals, and one of the parties voluntarily left the scene. No further incident occurred.
08/16/2026 – Hospice Death – At approximately 0130 hours, officers responded to the 300 block of 6th Street for a reported hospice death. Officers investigated the circumstances and found no indication of foul play. Officers completed the required documentation and cleared the scene.
08/17/2026 – Suspicious Activity – At approximately 1045 hours, officers were dispatched to the 500 block of 6th Street for a report of suspicious activity. Officers made contact with the homeowner, who allowed officers inside the residence and showed them that everything was in order. Officers found no suspicious or criminal activity and cleared the scene, returning to service.

6:02AM – Complainant on IH 35 NB reported a stalled vehicle; unable to locate.
6:19AM – Complainant on Brown Ave reported a missing weedeater.
7:00AM – Complainant on IH 35 SB reported white vehicle stalled at MM 122. Tow was called.
8:00AM – Complainant on Malone Dr requested extra patrol due to suspicious tan or gold color older pi ckup driving slowly just before incident.
11:58AM – Citywide siren test. All 3 locations verified working correctly.
18:04PM – DPS Trooper requesting assistance with traffic stop on Teel Dr N.
23:50PM – Late entry – Fight between two females on Teel Dr S.
August 8
15:00PM – Complainant on IH 35 N reported semi unable to maintain lane. Unable to locate.
16:58PM – Officer responded to a one vehicle non-injury accident.
17:55PM – Complainant on Teel Dr N requested welfare check on teenagers on scooters. Teenagers were traveling to Walmart.
August 9
0:12AM – Complainant reported possible open door on Hondo Ave E. Building secured, all okay.
12:03PM – Officer responded to three vehicle non-injury accident.
19:56PM – Complainant on Bright Dr N reported another female took away her phone while calling 911 and then broke it. Officer attempted to detain female but she resisted arrest, then had a seizure and was taken by EMS. Charges pending.
20:40PM – Male subject jailed for drunkenness on Dixon Dr.
August 10
14:07PM – Complainant on Oakhill Dr report truck tractor in no parking zone.
15:00PM – Officer initiated traffic stop on N Transportation. Male subject issued a citation.
20:31PM – Complainant on Upson Dr N reported male singing loudly in his driveway. All okay.
August 11
9:56AM – MCSO reported building on Hayden Ave fully engulfed in flames. Entire building was evacuated and West Texas Gas notified. ACO took resident’s cats. Building was deemed total loss by Fire Marshall.
16:20PM – Officer assisted MCSO with male subject who was acting belligerent.
19:50PM – Fire rekindled on Hayden Ave. Fire Department advised they would have someone sit overnight in truck starting at 2130 hours.
20:03PM – Clothing found by utility pole on Fernandez Ave. No one living there; junk clothing left on side of roadway.
23:11PM – Owner of property on Bowman Ave was burning small amount of grass. All okay; owner put out fire.
August 12
0:30AM – Complainant reported hearing a man yelling one street over on Brown Ave. Male located.
7:50AM – Male sleeping by Library on Hondo Ave E was asked to leave property.
8:50AM – Building on Hayden Ave condemned due to structure fire. No subjects allowed on premises and will be arrested for criminal trespassing/all tenants and owner advised.
9:32AM – Complainant on FM 2200 called in reference to gray vehicle parked for 5 days near roadway making it difficult for buses to pass by. Officer attempted to make contact with apartment complex manager but was unable to.
12:22PM – Suspicious activity reported on Hayden Ave. Female on property with Triple A to make copy of key for her vehicle. Keys lost to fire.
17:58PM – Complainant on Hondo Ave W stated someone left a note on their car with phone number.
August 13
13:17PM – Open door reported on Bright Dr. House checked and secured.
14:51PM – Officer assisted with traffic control for fire on IH 35.
15:10PM – Officer responded to three vehicle non-injury accident.

1:10 AM – Main St. – Officer responded to a report of a possible stolen Jeep but could not locate it. The vehicle was located in Natalia.
8:26 AM – Lytle High School – Officer received a phone call regarding an injured fawn at the High School. Animal Control was contacted.
10:00 AM – 14600 Blk. Main St. – Officer conducted a Certificate of Occupancy inspection.
10:48 AM – 19300 Blk. McDonald St. – Officer responded to a report of an illegally parked vehicle in a handicapped parking spot. Officer discovered all vehicles were legally parked.
12:00 PM – 15000 Blk. Mesquite St. – Officer spoke with a complainant at the PD regarding a stolen chainsaw valued at $358 from his residence, stolen within the past two weeks.
1:55 PM – 14500 Blk. Butch Cassidy – Officer responded to a report of an abandoned Dodge Ram pickup.
4:00 PM – 14600 Blk. FM 2490 – Officers responded to an active alarm. Everything was okay.

9:10 AM – Lytle PD – Officer spoke with a complainant by phone regarding damage to his 2021 BMW X7 while it was parked at the HEB Plus on 8/4/2026.
11:24 AM – 16000 Blk. Imes Way – Officer spoke to a resident by phone regarding a terminated employee.
3:20 PM – Lytle PD – Officer released personal property to its owner.
6:45 PM – IH 35 – Officer responded to a report of a reckless driver but was unable to locate the vehicle.

1:54 AM – Wyatt Earp – Officer responded to a report of a suspicious male walking but was unable to locate him.
8:35 AM – 20200 Blk. IH 35 SB – Officers responded to a cell phone crash feature. There was no accident, but Sgt. Lopez located the phone and returned it to the owners.
10:20 AM – Lytle PD – Officer spoke with a complainant at the PD regarding a previous report about a loaned vehicle that wasn’t returned.
11:32 AM – 15100 Blk. Main St. – Officers responded to a two-vehicle non-injury accident.
12:45 PM – Bluebonnet Children’s Advocacy Center (Hondo) – Officer conducted a follow-up investigation.
1:56 PM – 19900 Blk. FM 3175 – Officer responded to a report of a consumer who left the facility against medical advice. Officer could not locate the female.
3:20 PM – IH 35 SB Frontage Rd. @ Bruce St. – Officer responded to assist a stranded motorist who ran out of fuel.
5:45 PM – 198300 Blk. McDonald St. – Officer responded to unlock a vehicle but could not open it because the lock was damaged.

7:34 AM – 19300 Blk. N. Prairie St. – Officer responded to a report of vehicles in the school drop-off line blocking the caller’s driveway.
10:19 AM – 19900 Blk. FM 3175 – Officer responded to a report of a consumer who left the facility against medical advice. Officer could not locate the male.
12:40 PM – 14600 Blk. Butch Cassidy – Officer responded to a report of a male walking door to door asking for bug spray, but the male was not located.
1:00 PM – 14800 Blk. Main St – Officer responded to a report of a male loading scrap metal belonging to the store. The male was identified and unloaded the metal.
1:21 PM – Assist Atascosa County Sheriff’s Office – 40 Blk. Indian Sunset Dr. – Officer responded outside the city limits of Lytle to assist with an active disturbance.
3:03 PM – 14700 Blk. Butch Cassidy – Officer responded to a report of an unwanted solicitor. The male could not be located.
4:15 PM – 15200 Blk. Mesquite St. – Officer responded to a report of a hit-and-run vehicle damaging a fence.

8:07 AM – 14900 Blk. Main St. – Officer responded to the report of a stolen 2004 Ford F-250 between the hours of 3:00 PM on 8/13/2026 and 8:00 AM on 8/14/2026.
12:00 PM – 14400 Blk. Main St. – Officer witnessed a water hydrant flow test.
1:00 PM – Lytle PD – Officers spoke to a vendor who reported a resident threatened his crew while working in the area. The case is under investigation.
1:30 PM – IH 35 SB @ City Limits – Officers responded to a vehicle reported in the road median. Everything was okay; the driver was waiting for a family member to change a flat.
2:14 PM – 15700 Blk. Main St. – Officer notified Public Works of a water line break.
7:14 PM – 15000 Blk. Main St. – Officer responded to a report of an attempted money scam that was unsuccessful.
Saturday, August 15
12:05 AM – Railroad St. @ Davis St. – Officer initiated a traffic stop that resulted in the arrest of a 41 year old male for Possession of a Controlled Substance. Subjectg was booked into the Atascosa County Jail.
12:17 PM – Saddle Ridge Blvd. – Officer attended the Saddle Ridge neighborhood garage sale.
3:11 PM – 14600 Blk. Railroad St. – Officer initiated a traffic stop for speeding, which resulted in the arrest of a 42 year old male for Violation of a Protective Order. Subject was booked into the Atascosa County Jail.
5:20 PM – 19300 Blk. McDonald St. – Officer responded to unlock a 2012 Ford F-150.
6:30 PM – Lytle PD – Officer received a report from Atascosa Dispatch that the 2004 Ford F-250 stolen on 8/14/2026 was recovered on Wheeler Rd.
8:26 PM – 19500 Blk. S. Somerset St. – Officer initiated a traffic stop for an Expired Motor Vehicle Registration, which resulted in the towing of a 1993 Dodge Van for an Expired MVR, No Insurance, and Driving With an Invalid License.
8:30 PM – 14800 Blk. Main St. – Officer was flagged down by a male requesting information about an issue with dogs attacking his sheep. The complainant lived outside Lytle city limits.
Sunday, August 16
12:45 AM – FM 2790 @ IH 35 Frontage Rd. – Officer responded to a report of an intoxicated driver entering the city but could not locate it.
3:17 AM – Live Oak St. @ Cottage St. – Officer initiated a traffic stop for a defective tail lamp that resulted in the arrest of a 29 year old male for Driving While Intoxicated 1st Offense and Unlawful Carrying of a Weapon. Subject was booked into the Atascosa County Jail.
8:30 PM – 15300 Blk. Main St. – Officer responded to an active alarm. An employee accidentally set it off.
3:39 PM – 19300 Blk. McDonald St. – Officer responded to the report of damage to a 2026 Volkswagen Atlas.
4:26 PM – 19300 Blk. McDonald St. – A resident approached the officer and requested a Police Badge sticker for his child.
