One point short. The 2025-2026 season for the Devine Warhorses ended in dramatic fashion, but not without leaving a mark on the program’s proud history. Devine finished the year with an impressive 25-13 overall record and claimed the District 27-4A crown with a strong 10-3 mark in league play.
From the opening tip in November to the final buzzer in the postseason, the Warhorses proved themselves as one of the most resilient and competitive teams in the entire San Antonio area.
Their playoff run embodied the grit that defined their season. After blasting Navarro 59-24 in the first round of the UIL State playoffs, Devine came within a single point of advancing to the regional semifinals.
