06/25-Animal Control – Officer on duty responded to a call received involving two large dogs who had gotten loose and attacked a neighbor’s feral cat. Upon arrival at the location contact was made with the dog’s owner who advised the Officer that the larger dog had broken a window and got out when they were not home. The dog owner agreed to keep the dogs contained as she tries to get the window repaired.


06/25-Found Property – Officer on duty met with a caller who had found a pellet gun in the middle of the street. The item was logged into the property room and the subject was thanked for bringing the found item into the police department.
06/25-Disturbance – The Officer responded to the Love’s Truck Center to take a report involving a male customer who had become upset and angry when the employee explained they could not leave the register unattended to fill the soda station until someone came to take over the register. The customer opened a drink pulled out of the cooler and was refusing to pay for the drink until the employee notified the customer the police were on the way to the location. The customer proceeded to pay for the drink and had departed the property before the Officer arrived at the scene.
06/26-Information – Officer on duty received a phone call in reference to a broken vehicle window. Upon arrival at the location contact was made with the complainant who stated her window was broken by an unidentified subject mowing the grass. The Officer did make contact with the person mowing and he agreed to pay for any damage incurred to the car window.
06/27- 10-50 Minor Accident – Officer on duty responded to a call received from the Love’s Truck Stop involving a minor accident involving two tractor trailers. Upon arrival at the location the Officer made contact with both drivers and information was obtained from the driver’s and exchanged. The Officer completed a report and took photographs of the damage.
06/28- Information – The Officer on duty received a radio dispatch call for a disruptive customer at the Love’s Truck Stop. Upon arrival at the location contact was made with staff from the Service Department Mechanic who indicated that the situation had been resolved without incident.
06/30- Property Damage – Officer on duty was dispatched to Chubby’s Travel Center for a call of criminal mischief on the property. Upon arrival at the location contact was made with store staff who stated that a subject had come into the store and smashed out one of the windows of the store using a large rock. The Officer took the employees statements regarding any pertinent information regarding the events that led to the incident
07/01- Suspicious Circumstance – Officer on duty was dispatched to the Beverage Express about a suspicious person hanging around the property.
