Orion is a 5-year-old who is an early bird, and will wake up by 6 AM every morning to start his day. He really likes attending school and interacting with his peers, as Orion loves learning, his favorite subject is reading/story time, especially when the topics are about cars and animals.

Waterslides, free food, live music kicks off at 7
All are invited to eat, drink, and play at 3 p.m. on July 4 at the Devine Golf Course to celebrate America’s independence.
Families can enjoy the waterslides, a lemonade stand and other free refreshments throughout the evening.
The Koehler Lane Band, a Texas-based rock band with a western twist, will perform live music from 7-10 p.m. Due to local restrictions, there will be no fireworks.
There will be free Hotdogs, hamburgers and popsicles from 4-6 while supplies last!

Community steps up to help with critical need June 29th
On Saturday, June 29, there will be a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in front of the Monument for Medina County Veterans in Natalia.
“For every one pint of blood, three people are helped,” said Ruby Vera, the coordinator for the event.
In many different types of medical treatments, blood is absolutely crucial.
However, this dire need cannot be met by doctors or researchers in a lab. It must be met through donations.

La Coste council rejects participation in regional water management scheme

A proposal by two major water providers in Medina County to bring communities together to better manage and develop regional water resources was rejected by the La Coste City Council last week.
La Coste Mayor Pro Tem Jeremy Johonnett, conducting the June 18 regular meeting in the absence of Mayor Andrew Keller, said the idea had merit. However, participating in a preliminary feasibility study proposed by the Medina County Regional Water Alliance would be too costly.
