Zemmie D. Marshall Witter passed away on June 24, 2017 in Pleasanton at the age of 87 years. She was born March 4, 1930 in Philadelphia, MS to Earl Delynn Marshall and Fannie Florence Burchfield Marshall.
Zemmie was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Fannie “Sis” Marshall and her husband, William “Bill” Witter.
On Jan. 18, 1951, she married William Taylor “Bill” Witter in San Antonio. Survivors include her children, Kathie Witter of Lytle and Marshall Witter of Lytle; grandchildren, Zemmie (Brian) Pollock of Albuquerque, NM, and Joshua Kyle Witter of La Coste; great-grandchildren, William Pollock and Jackson Pollock; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives. There will be visitation from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, June 28, 2017 at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home in Castroville. A Graveside Service will be held at the Lytle Community Cemetery in Lytle on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 11:00 am. Memorials may be made in Zemmie’s memory to the Alzheimer’s Association.
