Wilda M. Mendez, of Hondo, passed away Saturday July 21, 2018.
She was born in Nebraska and lived in many places throughout her life, but she considered herself a Texan.
Wilda is survived by two daughters; a sister, Wilma; seven grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded by her parents, beloved husband, Frank Mendez; beloved son, Patrick; and four siblings.
Visitation was held Tuesday, July 31, 2018 from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Devine.
Graveside service will be Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 1:00 pm at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio, with interment to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested memorials be made to River City Hospice.
