Virginia “VeeVee” Vatzlavick Rainosek

Virginia “VeeVee” Vatzlavick Rainosek, of Lytle, passed away on September 5, 2017 in San Antonio at the age of 85 years. She was born June 17, 1932 in Galveston, Texas, one of four children born to Victor and Loretto Robinson Vatzlavick.
In 1950, Virginia graduated from Incarnate Word Academy High School in Corpus Christi, Texas. She worked at Jefferson State Bank, Spohn Hospital in Corpus Christi and also at Seton Hospital in Austin. On May 30, 1953, Virginia married John Frank Rainosek, Jr. at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Violet, Texas. John passed away on December 15, 2004. They were married for 51 years and were blessed with one daughter and two grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Loretta and Patrick Brown of Lytle; grandchildren, Kevin Brown and his wife Mandy of Pflugerville and Stephen Brown of Lytle; brother and sister-in-law, Victor F. and Margarite Ann Vatzlavick of Corpus Christi; sisters and brothers-in-law, Maryla Loretta and Woody Peebles of Calallen and Ann and Cal Stone of Schertz; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation will be Thursday, September 14, 2017 starting at 5:00 pm at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home, with the Holy Rosary recited at 7:00 pm. Memorial Mass of the Resurrection will be Friday, September 15, 2017 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in La Coste. Private Interment will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery at a later date.
