Varsity Arabians beat Uvalde

The Arabians yet again won their volleyball games last Tuesday, Aug. 15 against the Lady Lobos.
“The girls did a good job tonight of keeping their focus,” Coach Leigh Ann McIver said.
The Varsity Arabians served a total of 12 aces during this game: Addie Trojanowski 6; Amanda Richardson 3; Elizabeth Puente 2; and Sydney Rendon 1. They also had a total of 29 kills; Chesney Friesenhahn 12, Trojanowski 11, Sierra Pompa 3, and Rendon, Alissa Stehle, and Megan Runyan each with 1. Two players, Rendon (14) and Friesenhahn (13), were the only ones to assist during the game.
They had three total blocks, Dana Aaron, Friesenhahn, and Caimee Fowler each had one. There were a total of 39 digs: Makenna Morales 15; Rendon 7; Richardson 5; Stehle 4; Trojanowski 3; Julie Ortiz 2; and Pompa, Friesenhahn, and Puente each with 1.
“There was a lot of stoppage during the matches and lots of unforced from Uvalde,” Coach McIver said. “But the girls seemed to pick up their pace as the night went along and really put the match out of reach quickly.”
