Teen Tech Week @ the Driscoll Public Library March 5-8

Registration is open for Teen Tech Week March 5-8.

Libraries are for Creating is the theme for this year’s Teen Tech Week @ the library taking place March 5-8th. Teen Tech Week is when libraries make the time to showcase all of the great digital resources and services that are available to help teens succeed in school and prepare for college and 21st century careers.This year’s theme encourages teens to take advantage of all the great digital tools offered through the library to become content creators, and to leverage library resources to share out their creations!
During Teen Tech Week we will be offering the following classes and workshops:
Perler Bead Workshop- Monday, March 5th, 4:30 PM
This fun class will combine technology and crafting. Come flex your artistic skills and make your own perler bead creations!
Photojournalism and Photo Editing Class- Tuesday, March 6th, 4:30 PM
An informative and hands on workshop that will go over the basics of photojournalism, and try your hand at some fun photo editing.
Intro to Coding Class- Wednesday, March 7th, 4:30 PM
Want to learn more about coding, but don’t know where to start? This is a great, easy intro-level class that will introduce teens to the basics of coding.
Meme Creating Workshop- Thursday, March 8th, 4:30 PM
Let’s talk about and share some of our favorite memes, and then create some of our very own!
Pre-registration is required as space is limited in each class. Final day for registration is Friday, March 2nd. Classes and workshops are open to ages 13 and older. There is no fee or cost involved with any of the classes or workshops. If you are interested in participating please call the Driscoll Public Library, 830-663-2993, Mon-Fri between the hours of 10am-6pm to register.
