A vehicle was stolen from outside Birdsong Peanuts on Transportation Drive in Devine on October 2. It was later found in a ditch by an Atascosa County deputy. It is unknown why the vehicle, a 1990 Mazda Pickup Truck, was ditched after being stolen. This marks the 12th stolen vehicle reported in Devine this year so far, surpassing previous years statistics already this October.
According to Devine PD records, in 2015 nine vehicles were reported stolen (with five of those vehicles being recovered), and only 5 vehicles were stolen in all of 2016 (with four of those vehicles being recovered).
