Shirley Louise Gouge Corcoran, 91, of Comfort, entered Heaven’s gates on February 19, 2017 at Hill
Country Memorial Hospital in Fredericksburg. She was born February 6, 1926 in Merkle, Texas the daughter of Charlie C. Gouge and Nancy Elizabeth Massey Gouge.
She married Charles (Mike) Corcoran on December 16, 1943 in Abilene, Texas.
She is survived by her two children Michael Corcoran (Nell) of San Antonio, Texas and Linda Sandell (Lynn) of Lytle, Texas; seven grandchildren, Nicole McCoy (Vince), Michael Corcoran Jr. (Stacy), Letitia Vaughan (Brian), Lee Sandell (Lana), Kenneth Click (JoAnn), Steven Click, and Craig Clark; eight great-grandchildren, David Vaughan (Dorothee), Brittany Vaughan, Tyler McCoy, Kasey Corcoran, Tanner Corcoran and Riley Corcoran, Colton Sandell, Addison Sandell; two great-great-grandchildren, Sissily Vaughan and Kent Vaughan; and one brother, Billy Gouge.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles (Mike) Corcoran; her parents; sisters, Johnnie McMillan and Wanda Mashburn; brother, J.D. Gouge. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at Lytle First Baptist Church with Brother James Engle officiating.

Visitation was held Thursday, February 23, 2017 at 9:00 am in the First Baptist Church of Lytle. Church Service began at 10:00 am in the First Baptist Church of Lytle with Interment following at Lytle Community Cemetery.
