Mrs. Sally Prudence Galpin Duff, age 70, of Castroville, entered eternal rest on March 31, 2018 in a San Antonio hospital. She was born September 13, 1947 in Durban, South Africa, the oldest of three daughters of Patrick Galpin and Joyce Cecilia Manning Galpin.
On August 21, 1971, Sally married David M. Duff in Harare, Zimbabwe. Sally and David were blessed with over forty-six years of marriage, two sons, two daughters-in-law, and three grandchildren.
Sally was a busy lady, taking care of her family, her home and managing the bookkeeping for the family farm. In 2016, Sally and David moved to Texas from Zimbabwe, Africa. She loved her family and spending time with them, especially her grandchildren.
Sally was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick and Joyce Galpin.
Survivors include her loving husband, David M. Duff of Castroville; sons and daughters-in-law, Gordon Duff and Anna Whorton of Castroville, James and Amy Duff of Zimbabwe, Africa; grandchildren, Ian Duff, Allen Duff and Helen Duff; sister and brother-in-law, Marian and David Baxter; sister, Patricia Fry.
Visitation will be Monday, April 9, 2018 starting at 5:00 pm at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home, with a Memorial Service at 6:00 pm. Services will conclude at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in Sally’s memory to the charity of your choice.
