Ribbons abound for Colts and Fillys at Poteet track meet

The DMS Colts and Fillys competed at the Poteet Middle School Track Invitational on Feb. 23rd. They once again had a great showing at a ribbon meet bringing in lots of blue, red, and white ribbons for each of their heats.
According to Coach Khera Vay, “The kids did a great job competing with many of the kids making great improvements to their times from last meet. We had kids run in different events and some had to step up to fill in for sick kids. The coaches are very pleased with their efforts.”

The athletes continue their season with their first track meet incorporating team totals in Devine at Warhorse stadium on March 3rd. Girls will begin with field events at 3:45 pm followed by running events at approximately 6:00pm. The boys will start with running events at 3:45 pm followedby field events at approximately 6:00 pm.
“We are looking forward to seeing the kids compete once again and earn some team championships,” Coach Vay finished saying.
