October is here, and the Teen Library Club @ the Driscoll Public Library has some spooky events that are just for teens!
TLC meeting Oct. 4
Join the Teen Library Club for our monthly meeting on Thursday, Oct. 4 at 5:00 pm! Have your ideas heard for fun activities in the upcoming months!
Pumpkin decorating Oct. 11
The TLC is hosting a teen-only pumpkin decorating afternoon on Thursday, Oct. 11 from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Bring your own pumpkin, real or fake, and come have fun decorating it for the Halloween season! We will provide the art supplies. We will not be carving pumpkins, only decorating. Bring any special decorations you may want to use on your pumpkins.
The Nightmare Before Christmas Oct. 18
Join the Teen Library Club for our showing of the Halloween classic The Nightmare Before Christmas on Thursday, Oct. 18 from 5:00 pm to 6:15 pm! The film follows the misadventures of Jack Skellington, who has become bored with the same annual routine of frightening people. When Jack accidentally stumbles on Christmastown, he plots to bring Christmas under his control by kidnapping Santa Claus and taking over the role. But Jack soon discovers even the best-laid plans of mice and skeleton men can go seriously awry. The movie will start promptly at 5:00 pm, so be sure to arrive with plenty of time to find a seat. Snacks will be provided, but teens are welcome to bring their own snacks, blankets, and chairs.
Teen Game Night Oct. 25
The Teen Library Club is hosting a fun-filled Game Night on Thursday, Oct. 25 from 5:00 pm to 6:30 pm. Bring your friends and join us for some classic card and board games! Feel free to bring your favorite games or play some of ours. Snacks will be provided.
These events are open to teens in grades 7th through 12th. For any questions, please call the Driscoll Public Library at 830-663-2993, and ask for Stacy.
