Peggy Joyce Berger Tally, of San Antonio, passed away on September 12, 2017 in Castroville at the age of 62 years. Peggy was born November 22, 1954 in Castroville, one of five children born to Charles Frederick Berger, Sr. and Patricia O’Connell Berger, who have preceded her in death.
On her birthday in 2007, she married Kenneth Wayne Tally in a ceremony in San Antonio. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and a wonderful homemaker. She loved to fish at Medina Lake, as well as cook and bake for her family. For many years, she taught Sunday School at Zion Lutheran Church in Helotes.
Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Tally of San Antonio; daughters and sons-in-law, Carolyn and Walter Tschirhart of Castroville, Shelia and Dan Darby of Houston; son and daughter-in-law, Jacob and Dawn Benke of Salt Lake City, Utah; grandchildren, Weston Tschirhart, Cody Tschirhart, Ella Darby, Lillian Benke, Lennox Benke and Easton Benke; siblings, Charles Frederick Berger, Jr. and wife Laura of Mico, Mary Jane McCracken and husband Donald of Del Rio, Garry Daniel Berger of Mico and Donald Ray Berger and wife Jennifer of Hondo as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.
Visitation was Friday, September 15, 2017 starting at 9:30 am prior to the Funeral Service 10:30 am at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home. Services concluded at the funeral home. Memorials may be made in Peggy’s memory to the charity of your choice.
