Paul Richard Tudyk left this earth peacefullyon March 19, 2017 to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in Heaven.
He was born on February 20, 1930 at home in Jourdanton, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; Peter Frank Tudyk, Mary Agatha Kotara Tudyk, a daughter Carolyn Ann Tudyk, a grandson Ryan Neal Tudyk, a niece Melanie Prichard Garcia.
His survivors include: his wife “The Love of His Life” Mary Nell Rackley Tudyk. They were married on July 11, 1952 for 64 wonderful years. He had one son Richard Michael Tudyk (Joyce) of Lytle, Texas, two daughters Cheryl Diane Tudyk Day (Gregory) of Abilene, Texas, Karen Dawn Tudyk Baird of Lacoste, Texas. Six Grandchildren Michael Paul Tudyk (Jennie) of San Antonio, Texas, Stacy Ann Day Wiggins (John) of Abilene, Texas, Bryan Gregory Day (Krystal) of Abilene, Texas, Stephany Marie Day McDougal (Chester) of Lubbock, Texas, Christopher Daniel Baird of Austin, Texas, Kevin Wayne Baird of Lacoste, Texas. 7 ½ Great Grand Children Audrey Mae Tudyk, Adam Richard Tudyk, Neal James Tudyk, Maggie Jolyn Tudyk, Skyler Blyss Wiggins, Paisley Leeann Wiggins, Baby girl to be Wiggins, Peyton Max Day.
Four Sisters Dorothy Bryant of San Antonio, Texas, Anna Lea Brazell (Hoyle) of San Antonio, Texas, Elizabeth Cantwell of San Antonio, Texas, Geneva Lee of Lytle, Texas, six nieces, four nephews, many great-nieces and -nephews, numerous cousins and friends.
Paul was loving, brilliant, a mentor, precious, anexceptional man, and a wonderful husband, dad, grandpa, great grandpa, brother and friend.When we reached out to him, he always had a solution for any problem or question. He could always figure anything out from welding, gates, fences, cows, water lines, and mechanics, the list goes on and on.
A Godly man, ordained at the Natalia Baptist Church in April 10, 1994.
Paul never met a stranger. He could talk to anyone and always had a smile. He started working at the age of 6 years old, cleaning out chicken pens to help support his family. He worked for a creamery delivering milk. Then honorarily served in the Army during the Korean War from 1950-1953.He received the Bronze Star for bravery and other honorary medals. He went through training prior to the Korean War in the Army and became a certified mechanic and refrigerant tech.
Returning from the war in Korea he was a butcher for Hal Savage Grocery in Natalia, Texas. Also, a member of the Natalia Fire department. After that, he went to work for Gary Aircraft in Hondo, Texas as an aircraft supervisor. Partnered up as co-owner of an oil company. Then went to work in the oil field industry until he retired at the age of 85, due to his illness. Coworkers learned so much from him as he was so knowledgeable. Paul was a genius in the oil business most of his life.He was a very hard worker. He was a master welder, electrical, wiring, fencing, how to handle cows, fix and reroute water lines, where he taught family members, and friends.He was a farmer where he raised cattle and planted hay and always had a garden.
He also worked on cars, trucks, and tractors he was a jack of all trades. He would work side jobs just to save enough money so he and his family could go on vacation every year.
He is loved so much and will be missed dearly by his family, friends and all that knew him. Daddy, you will be forever in our heart and we miss you so much.
Paul (Daddy, Pappaw, Paw) you will be forever in our hearts and our precious memories together will always be treasured.Heaven has truly gained an Angel.
Visitation will be held Friday March 24,2017 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Alta Vista Funeral Home 2048 State Hwy132 North Natalia, Texas. Funeral services will be held Saturday March 25, 2017 at 2:00 at Natalia Baptist Church 301 Pearson Street Natalia, Texas.
Graveside service will be at the Evergreen Cemetery Devine, Texas.
