Natalia Police Report May 6-13


May 6
6:49 PM – Officer responded to IH-35 Southbound in attempt to locate a blue Chevrolet pickup while driving. Officer located a female that was involved in the disturbance at the roadside park just before Natalia. The female stated she jumped out of the truck because her ex-boyfriend was going to try and take her back to Mexico. Officer called EMS to check out the female and waited until a sheriff’s deputy arrived and took over the scene. The officer later cleared the scene and went back in service.
10:30 PM – Officer responded to Dollar General for a general alarm front door motion. Officer arrived on location, checked the entire building and all was okay. Officer cleared the scene and went back in service.
May 7
4:25 PM – Officer responded to the corner of 3rd St. and FM 471 S. about a disturbance. Officer arrived on location and found a male juvenile walking away from the scene. Officer spoke to both the juvenile and his mother about what was going on. It was later determined the juvenile had assaulted his mother, cursing at her and being very disrespectful to her. Officer later charged the juvenile with assault physical contact and later emergency detained the juvenile and transported him to Santa Rosa Hospital for a mental evaluation.
5:38 PM – Officer responded to Depot St. about a hospice death. The hospice nurse was on scene during her passing and pronounced her deceased. Officer collected all the necessary information, called the funeral home in Devine, and later cleared the call.
10:13 PM – Officer responded to the 400 block of 8th St. about an alarm call. Officer checked the building and all doors and windows were intact. Officer later cleared the scene and went back in service.
10:30 PM – Officer responded to the 2100 block of Hwy. 132 about a suspicious person in the front yard. Officer arrived on scene and didn’t see anyone. Officer checked all the way around the house and was unable to locate anyone. Officer briefly spoke to the reportee and assured her no one was on her property.
May 8
6:22 PM – Officer received a phone call and wanted to report that her ex-husband who didn’t show up at the Pilot gas station located at the corner of IH-35 N. and Loop 1604 to exchange their two children. Officer gathered all the information and documented the incident.
May 9
11:01 AM – Officer received a call from Child Protective Services and asked the officer if he could assist locating a small child in the city of Natalia and check its welfare. Officer went to the residence given and was unable to make contact.
3:05 PM – Officer was approached by a UPS driver and stated he found a Social Security card on the 100 block of 3rd St. Officer took custody of the card and called the Medina County dispatcher in attempt to try and locate an address. The dispatcher was unable to locate an address. Officer contacted the SRO officer in Natalia and had him check with the school registry to see if a student lost their Social Security card. The card was secured.
3:40 PM – Officer responded to the Love’s Truck Stop in Natalia about a private property accident. Officer arrived on scene and contacted the General Manager at gas pump #24. Officer was informed by the GM that an 18-wheeler pumped diesel and was carrying a wide load and tore off the hose line and front cover of the pump, causing extensive damage. Blue forms were issued to both parties, explained in its entirety.
9:20 PM – Officer responded to the 100 block of 4th St. about a verbal disturbance. Officer contacted both parties and later determined that the female had been drinking all day, but was not being argumentative with the officer. Officer contacted the female’s son and was on his way to pick up his mother. No further action taken.
May 10
1:43 AM – Officer responded to Dollar General for a general alarm front door motion. Officer arrived on location, checked the entire building and all was okay. Officer cleared the scene and went back in service.
7:34 PM – Officer responded to the 700 block of 5th St. about a theft. Officer was informed a red lawn mower was taken from the side of his house and didn’t know who took the lawn mower. The mower was worth approximately $130.
May 11
6:50 PM – Officer responded to the 19000 block of 471 S. to assist the Medina County Sheriff’s Office on a disturbance call. Officer checked out with a deputy and was later cleared from the call, going back in service.
May 12
12:45 AM – Officer responded to the Beverage Barn on Hwy. 132 S. about an alarm. Officer went around the building and all was okay.
May 13
4:40 PM – Officer responded to the 2800 block of Hwy. 132 N. about a suspicious person on the ground. Officer made contact with the male subject. The subject was just resting and really had nowhere to go. Officer later had the male subject leave the property.
10:30 PM – Officer responded to Dollar General for a general alarm front door motion. Officer arrived on location, checked the entire building and all was okay. Officer cleared the scene and went back in service.
