Natalia Police Report June 19-25

June 19
1:38 PM – Officer responded to the 600 block of Hickory Highway, Devine, Texas, about a burglary in progress, with the actor inside the house. Prior to the Officer arriving on location, the male subject fled the scene wearing blue shirt, khaki pants and had an army6 green back pack. Officer patrolled the area, but was unable to locate the subject. Officer cleared the area and went back in service.
June 20
3:20 PM – Officer responded to the love’ gas station, in reference to a private property accident. Officer issued bleu forms to both parties, explained the process and cleared the scene.
5:26 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 S about a red in color sedan swerving in and out of traffic. Officer was in the area in attempt to locate the vehicle, but was unsuccessful. Officer cleared the area and went back in service.
9:25 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 N and mile marker 128, about a male subject attempting to flag down traffic, soliciting a ride. Officer patrolled the area and was unable to locate the subject. Officer cleared the scene and went back in service.
10:12 PM – Officer responded to the 400 block of 5th Street about a welfare check on an elderly man possibly being mistreated by his mentally ill 53 year old son. Officer made contact with the elderly man outside his residence and appeared to be in no danger. Officer asked the man if his son was harming him and he state “no”. Officer called back the complainant and informed him of the information. Officer gathered his information and cleared the scene.
June 21
5:41 PM – Officer responded to the 700 block of 5th Street in reference to a male subject walking around with a can of beer in his hand, intoxicated stumbling all over the road. Officers arrived in the area and were unable to locate that subject. Officer received a telephone call about a male subject highly intoxicated laid out in the back yard of the caller. Officers raced over to the residence which was a block away from the original call and observed a Hispanic male laying on his back in the caller’s back yard. Officer determined the man was highly intoxicated and had been given a Criminal Trespass for the caller’s residence. The man was arrested and taken to the Medina County Jail.
10:25 PM – Officers were parked behind the Natalia High School and noticed that one of the double doors to the Junior High Gym were open. Officers went over to investigate and found approximately 12 male adults inside the gym playing basketball. Officer asked the subjects if they had permission to be in the gym and they responded “no”. Another officer called the Superintendent and asked if he wanted to file charges on the young men and decided not to. All subjects’ information was taken down and advised not to enter the gym again without proper permission. All male subjects were later released.
June 22
12:40 PM – Officer responded to assist AMR EMS in locating a male subject possibly having a heat stroke. Officer located the male subject, called EMS to the 2700 block of IH 35 N, where they later transported him to a local hospital in San Antonio for further medical evaluation.
1:50 PM – Officer responded to the 300 block of Aubrey Street in reference to a large gas leak. WTG Gas Company was called out to the scene, while both ends of the roadway were blocked off to thru traffic. The leak was fixed and roads were reopened.
10:50 PM – Officer responded to the 300 block of 4th Street about a male subject unresponsive. Officer arrived on scene and attempted to speak to the male subject who appeared very groggy. EMS arrived on location and later found out he had a bad reaction to his insulin, due to him being diabetic. The patient refused EMS transport and was advised to see hi doctor about changing his insulin.
June 23
5:56 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 N about an 18 wheeler driving with a blown out tire causing hazardous driving conditions for the truck and other drivers on the road. Officer was able to catch up with truck in question finally getting it stopped in the rest area. Officer investigate further and later determined the truck driver received a citation for Allowed Vehicle in Unsafe Condition to be moved or driven (so as to endanger any person).
8:52 PM – Officer responded to Roy’s Beverage Barn about a man with a gun walking around with it in the parking lot next to a Nissan Juke. Officer arrived on scene and located the male subject inside the store, made the scene safe and later identified the male subject. It was later determined the male subject was a licensed carrier. Deputies arrived on scene and took over the call. Officer cleared the scene and went back in service.
June 24
10:40 PM – Officer responded to FM 463 N about a two car vehicle crash. Officer arrived on scene and checked both drivers for any injuries. Both drivers were okay and awaited Medina County Sheriff and DPS to arrive on scene in order to work the crash. DPS later arrived on scene along with Sheriff Deputies. Officer cleared the scene and went back in service.
June 25
5:06 PM – Officer responded to FM 471 S about a major gas leak. Officer arrived on scene and provided traffic control and closed off the lane to thru traffic. The gas company arrived on location and fixed the gas leak. All lanes of traffic were reopened. Officer cleared the scene and went back in service.
10:06 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 S about a tan and maroon truck reckless driving, swerving in and out of traffic. Officer set up at their city limit and monitored the traffic for that vehicle, but was unable to locate it. Officer cleared the scene and went back in service.
