Natalia Police Report July 7-15


July 7
6:00 PM – Officer assisted backing up an officer conducting an investigation for suspicion of Driving While Intoxicated. The Devine officer placed a female under arrest and the officer went back in service.
July 9
7:20 PM – Officer responded to the 800 blk. of 4th St. about a fight in progress. Officer, along with two Medina County Sheriff’s, assisted with the call. There were no charges to file; officers cleared the scene and went back into service.
July 10
9:57 AM – Officer responded to the 2200 blk. of Hwy. 132 in front of CD Tire Shop about debris in the middle of the roadway. Officer arrived on location and removed the debris off the roadway.
2:45 PM – Officer responded to the 200 blk. of 6th St. to assist CPS while they conducted an investigation of possible sexual abuse case they are working on. The officer cleared the residence once CPS worker was through.
9:20 PM – Officer responded to the 800 blk. of Pearson St. Natalia High School about an alarm, front door motion. Officer arrived and found a front door unlocked. Officer waited for other officers to show up and clear the school. There was no damage or anything that appeared to be tampered with.
July 12
1:10 AM – Officer responded to NHS about an alarm at the gym. All doors and windows were intact. Officer cleared the call and went back in service.
10:02 AM – Officer went and checked on a property located in the 2400 blk. of Hwy. 132 N. about some dogs locked up in a warehouse-type building and a horse tied up in the back that looked to be malnourished. Animal Control officer is conducting an investigation as to the owners of the dogs and horse.
July 13
2:11 PM – Officer responded to Love’s Truck Stop about a verbal disturbance. Officer arrived on location and spoke to the clerk. The male subject in question fled the scene. Officer cleared the scene and went back in service.
July 15
1:53 AM – Officer responded to the area of 6th St. and Palfrey St. about a suspicious male with a flashlight looking into yards. The officer attempted to contact the subject, but decided to run away. The officer was able to deploy his taser and take control of the male subject. Officer later found 7 grams of methamphetamines on his person. The male subject was arrested and taken to jail.
4:25 PM – Officer responded to the 600 blk. of E. Hondo Ave. in Devine to assist with a major crash. Officer arrived on location and assisted with traffic control. Officer later cleared the scene and went back in service.
