Natalia Police Report August 21-27

August 21
8:13 PM – Officers were dispatched to the intersection of 8th St. and Kearney St. for a disturbance. At location, officer made contact with the parties involved. After all information was gathered by both sides, officer issued a citation for assault by contact. All parties cleared location.
9:22 PM – Officer responded to the 300 block of Aubrey St. for a report of a Tahoe-style vehicle driving down the street displaying a gun of some type. Officer checked the area but was unable to locate.
11:10 – Officer responded to the 100 block of Depot St. At location, officer was informed by the mother of a 14-year-old boy who had jumped out of a bedroom window at her mother’s residence in the 700 block of 3rd St. The child had taken money from the grandmother, then taken it to Walmart in Devine, where he spent it. Once back in Natalia on 3rd St., the child was confronted about the missing money, went into his bedroom, and jumped out the window. Officers went to the 700 block of 3rd St. and looked for the child, who was located at the far back side of the back yard. The child was released to his mother.
August 22
12:58 PM – Officer responded to CR 772 to assist a Medina County Deputy during a traffic stop. Officer acted as cover until released from the scene.
August 23
3:00 PM – Officer responded to the 2100 block of Hwy. 132 for a female who jumped from a moving vehicle. At location, officer made contact with the female, who stated she was being assaulted by her husband as they were driving on the road. To stop the assault, she opened the car door and jumped out, thus causing injuries. EMS was called to the scene, where they took the victim to the hospital. Attempts were made to locate the husband after he drove off from the scene as witnesses stopped to check on the victim. A warrant has been issued for his arrest, and he is currently on the run from law enforcement.
August 24
4:19 PM – Officers were dispatched to IH-35 NB for a vehicle driving all over the roadway. Unable to locate.
August 25
10:05 PM – Officer responded to the 2100 block of Hwy. 132 for a female not feeling well. EMS was dispatched to location and the female was checked out.
August 27
11:00 PM – Officer was dispatched to the 400 block of Bartlett St. for a disturbance. At location, contact was made with the parties involved. The argument was over a person at the residence who was not welcomed by the husband. The unwanted person was taken home prior to officer making location. Both parties stated they would be fine.
