Natalia Police Report April 30-May 6


April 30

11:42 AM – Officer responded to the 500 block of Bartlett St. about a theft. Officer spoke to the reportees and they advised someone came onto their property and stole several pieces of equipment and materials. There was approximately $115 worth of material taken.
10:15 PM – Officer responded to the Early Childhood School, located at the 400 block of 8th St. about an alarm call. Officer checked the perimeter and all doors and windows were intact.
May 1
11:43 AM – Officer observed a vehicle commit a moving violation and attempted to stop the vehicle, but it took off in a pursuit leading all the way onto IH-35 S going into Devine and back towards Natalia, where the violator committed several violations, running into a Medina County Sheriff’s deputy’s vehicle. The suspect stopped the car and after a brief foot chase, he was apprehended and later taken to the Medina County Jail.
May 2
1:02 AM – Officer responded to the 400 block of 4th St. about a verbal disturbance. Officer contacted the complainant and she stated she had been arguing with her husband over finances and him being with another woman. Officer was unable to observe any physical markings on either person as signs of any assault. Officer gathered all his information and later went back in service.
8:43 AM – Officers responded to the 400 block of Palfrey St. about a disturbance between a male and a female over child custody. Officers were able to quiet the couple down and explain to them that they needed to go through court for child custody and visitation rights. All parties agreed and separated for the day.
4:42 PM – Officer responded to 8th and Kearney St. where a teacher advised she observed several students run behind the dumpsters. Officer went and investigated the area and found one student in the woods. Officer spoke to the student and advised him to tell his friends who ran away to not be hanging in the woods and directed them back to school.
7:50 PM – Officer responded to the corner of 5th and Aubrey St. about a dog bite. Officer spoke to the complainant and she stated approximately four dogs went running at her two kids and almost bit her kids. Officer contacted the dog owners and issued four citations for dog at large.
9:22 PM – Officer responded to Love’s Truck Stop about a truck that struck another trucker’s vehicle and left. Officer issued a blue form to the driver and explained it in its entirety.
9:40 PM – Officer responded to the 300 block of Bartlett St. about someone shooting a BB gun and almost hitting other neighbors. Officer later determined after talking to the person who was possibly shooting a BB gun that he was in fact shooting a slingshot. Officer advised him to watch his background.
May 3
8:40 PM – Officer went to assist Medina County deputies in the 19000 block of FM 471 S. on a suicidal male subject. Officers were able to later locate the suicidal subject and placed him under arrest on an emergency detention warrant and later transported him to an area San Antonio hospital for a medical evaluation.
May 4
3:09 PM – Officer was contacted by a female complainant who stated her ex-boyfriend has been harassing her and stalking her wherever she goes. Officer stated the ex-husband had been cursing at her in intersections, telling her he wanted to kill her. Officer took all the important information and would further investigate this case. No arrest was made.
May 6
6:49 PM – Officer responded to IH-35 S about a female being pushed out of a moving vehicle by the roadside park. Officer attempted to locate the blue Chevy Silverado pulling a utility trailer but was unsuccessful. Officer later located the female that was pushed out of the vehicle at the southbound roadside park. Officer later called EMS and a sheriff deputy for a report to be made. Deputy arrived on scene along with EMS. Officer cleared the scene and went back in service.
