Natalia Police Report April 2-7


April 2
1:11 PM – Officer responded to IH-35 at the 124 mile marker for a major accident where the interstate was closed due to the accident. Officer assisted in traffic control for Airlife and EMS.
April 4
1:07 AM – Officer was dispatched to the 500 block of Kearney St. for a person walking around the church grounds. Officer checked the area but was unable to locate anyone.
3:56 PM – Officer removed numerous snipe signs from the 500 and 600 blocks of Cresson St.
4:41 PM – Officer was on patrol in the 800 block of 5th St. Officer discovered a horse in a pen. Officer made contact with property owner, who was informed of the city’s ordinance against livestock within city limits. Property owner was cited for the violation.
5:43 PM – Officer was dispatched to the 2600 block of Hwy. 132 for a disturbance. As officer was en route to location, dispatch canceled officer.
9:32 PM – Officer assisted Medina County Sheriff’s deputy during a traffic stop. Officer acted as a cover unit. The driver had an outstanding warrant. The driver was arrested by MCSO.
April 6
2:00 PM – Officer was alerted of writing on a boys’ bathroom wall. The wording stated “Don’t come to school tomorrow.” Said case is under investigation.
10:43 PM – Officer was dispatched to the 21000 block of FM 471 for an alarm. Officer made location and checked the location and found the location to be secure.
April 7
11:53 AM – Officer was dispatched to the 800 block of FM 471 for a city violation. Property owner was erecting a fence without a permit. Property owner was informed he needed a permit before the fence could be erected.
1:10 PM – Officer was dispatched to Love’s Truck Stop for a suspicious person. Officer made contact with a female who was asking people for cigarettes and money from truck drivers. The female was informed she was unable to do that. The female was given a ride to her residence just out of Devine.
1:48 PM – Officer was dispatched to IH-35 access road for people selling stuff along the roadway. Officer was contacted by TxDot crew who requested assistance with this matter. Officer assisted TxDot with this matter.
