Natalia Police Report July 31-August 6

July 31

7:32 AM – Officer dispatched to Love’s Truck Stop about a male subject

wanting to be checked out by EMS because he had been really ill. AMR arrived on location and later transported him to Southwest General Hospital for further medical evaluation.

2:54 PM – Officer responded to the 500 block of Palfrey St. about a medical call. Officer arrived on scene and could hear a female subject yelling for help who had fallen and couldn’t get up off the floor. Officer gained entry and waited for medical personnel to arrive and assess the subject for injuries. Officer assisted AMR and returned to service.

7:06 PM – Officer received a phone call about someone  who had crashed into a tree on CR 6712, AKA Canal Road. Officer notified Medina County dispatcher and they had a trooper make location. Officer assisted with traffic control while trooper completed crash investigation.

August 1

4:43 PM – Officer responded to the 400 block of 6th St. about a dog bite. Officer made contact with the complainant, who advised a white pit bull bit him on his right foot while riding his bike at the intersection of 6th St. and Cresson. Officer attempted to locate the dog but was unsuccessful.

5:45 PM – Officer responded to the 2000 block of Hwy. 132 in reference to the theft of medication. Officer arrived on scene and spoke to complainant, who stated he let his nephew and girlfriend stay at his house because they were homeless. The complainant and his girlfriend went to run some errands, and when they returned, the complainant found two bottles of Xanax were missing from the briefcase where he keeps all his medication. Officer asked the complainant who he thought had taken the medication, and the complainant replied he knew his nephew had taken them because he has personal knowledge he has a bad illegal drug habit. Officer collected information for a report.

9:33 PM – Officer assisted the Medina County Sheriff’s Office with a civil matter in the 1000 block of CR 6711. Officer made contact with complainant, who advised her son’s ex-girlfriend wanted to go pick up her daughter from her house and didn’t care what she said. Complainant stated she didn’t want any problems, so she called the sheriff’s office. Officer asked where her son and granddaughter were. The complainant said they must have taken off with the ex-girlfriend.

August 2

6:27 PM – Officer responded to the 500 block of CR 5717 about a call about a prowler that might be inside a vacant residence. Officer arrived on location and observed an open front door. Officer waited for deputies to arrive to clear the house. The residence was clear.

7:46 PM – Officer responded to Love’s about a stolen cell phone. Officer contacted the complainant, who told officer he believes his iPhone 6 was stolen from inside his truck while he was at the Pilot Travel Center, but he wasn’t sure. Complainant notified his boss of the incident but stated to disregard making a report.

10:19 PM – Officer responded to a rolling disturbance going southbound on IH-35 and the roadside park. Officer observed a red Ford F-150 with a white male subject in the bed of the truck, waving his arms at the officer. Officer stopped the vehicle and identified a white male subject and a white female subject. Officer discovered the couple was going through marital problems and had just gotten into a screaming match. After further investigation, officer determined the couple was okay to proceed to their home in Devine.

August 3

9:21 AM – Officer responded to the 2000 block of Hwy. 132 about two unwanted subjects. Officer made contact with two subjects. Officer was advised by complainant that he didn’t want them at his house anymore. Officer found out the male subject was wanted out of Bexar County for felony warrants. Officer attempted to arrest the male subject, who fled on foot. After a brief chase, he was apprehended and taken to the Medina County Jail.

12:04 PM – Officer responded to a crash in the 2000 block of FM 463. Officer held down the scene and waited for EMS to arrive and assess the injured. DPS arrived on scene and officer went back into service.

August 4

11:58 PM – Officer responded to Love’s about a minor private property accident. Officer made sure there weren’t any injuries and issued blue forms to both parties to fill out and exchange.

August 6

9:01 PM – Officer responded to the 400 block of Barlett St. about harassment from the complainant’s ex-wife. Complainant said his ex-wife kept driving by his house and exchanging words with each other. Officer advised the complainant to call the police department whenever she is on the property so she could be issued a criminal trespass for his property. Officer cleared the scene.
