Mary Christine (Buechler) Flores, beloved wife, mother, daughter and sister, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, December 23, 2017 at the age of 78.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Charlotte Blair; father, Karl F. Buechler Sr.; brother, Karl Buechler, Jr. and his wife Skip; and her husband of 48 years, Louis L. Flores.
She leaves behind twin daughters; Carla and husband Daniel Rosas of San Antonio, Lisa and husband Jacob Salazar also of San Antonio; a son, Larry Phelps of Georgia; stepdaughter, Elena and husband Eric Maldonado of Texas City; nine grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She also helped raise numerous other children.
During this past year as she battled cancer, she was very outspoken about and ready to be with her very dear friends, Mildred and Ron Neal, Wilma Bryant, Ellen and David Pritchard, Deanna Pickett and Emma Cooley, whom all precede her in death. She leaves behind many other loved ones.
Visitation will be Thursday, December 28, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel, 303 W. College Ave., Devine, Texas.
A chapel service will be held Friday, December 29, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel 303 W. College Ave., Devine, Texas with interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Devine, Texas
