Lytle Police Report May 29-June 4

May 29
1:40 AM – Officer observed a vehicle driving very slowly and making frequent stops throughout Lytle. Officer made contact with the driver who stated she was Pokémon hunting.
11:11 AM – Officers responded to Railroad St. and 3175 at IH 35 for a report of shots fired. Two areas were given and patrolled. Officers were unable to locate.
2:06 PM – Officer responded to Wisdom Rd. at Newton St. for a report of a welfare check on a male subject walking close to the roadway. Officer was unable to locate.
6:30 PM – Officers responded to IH 35 N for a report of a reckless driver. Officers were unable to locate.
7:11 PM – Officers responded to HEB C-Store to unlock a vehicle.
9:01 PM – Officers responded to N. Benton St. at Laredo St. and made contact with a male subject who was popping fireworks in the city limits. Fireworks were put away.
May 30
8:55 AM – Officers responded to 15200 Adams St. for a report of a dog being abused. Officers made location and made contact with subjects and incident was unfounded.
1:13 PM – Officer responded to Taco Bell to unlock a vehicle.
6:00 PM – Officer responded to FM 3175 at IH 35 S Access Rd. for a downed stop sign. Lytle Public Works placed a temporary sign.
8:12 PM – Officers responded to Napa for an alarm.
10:12 PM – Officers responded to JD Small Engine Works, person was located and was okay.
May 31
1:00 AM – Officers responded to Railroad St. at St. Andrew’s Church for a reported pursuit from Bexar Co. Deputies lost the vehicle and Atascosa Co. Deputy located the vehicle abandoned. Officers, Deputies and DPS Helicopter searched the area for the driver but were unable to locate.
6:40 AM – Officers responded to 19700 Blk. of IH 35 SB for a report of a suspicious male. Officers arrived and made contact with the male and conducted a frisk which uncovered a syringe. A probable cause search uncovered 7 baggies of heroin, a soda can used to cook heroin and several documents not belonging to the individual. A 24-year-old male subject was arrested for Manufacture or Delivery of a Substance PG1 > 4g < 100g and Fraudulent Use or Possession of ID or Info. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
11:01 AM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a welfare check.
11:50 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 at Mile Marker 132 NB to assist Bexar Co. with traffic control for a vehicle accident.
12:50 PM – Officers provided funeral escort for Hurley Funeral Home at Main St. and Benton St.
1:05 PM – Officer responded to Jalisco Grill in regards to a suspicious can. The can turned out to be an oil filter.
4:02 PM – Officer responded to 15000 Blk. of Lytle-Somerset St. to unlock a vehicle.
June 1
12:51 AM – Officers responded to El Bufalo Pawn for an alarm.
3:40 AM – Officers responded to 18400 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. to assist Atascosa EMS with a patient.
5:10 AM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to an officer in reference to criminal activity occurring throughout the county.
8:30 AM – Officer responded to 300 Blk. of CR 6848 to unlock a vehicle.
8:30 AM – Officer responded to Cabinet Creations for a report of found property.
12:45 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station to talk to an officer in reference to a verbal disturbance between complainant and her daughter.
1:35 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a verbal disturbance between mother and daughter that resulted in the arrest of a 27-year-old female subject for Terroristic Threat – Family Violence. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
8:00 PM – Officer responded to Days Inn for a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot. The rear windshield and passenger window were busted out, passenger seat was missing and had substantial interior damage. A pellet/bb gun was in the rear seat area in plain view, Officer seized it for safekeeping.
June 2
12:00 PM – LPDCA assisted with unlocking a vehicle at Naomi’s Dinner.
12:30 PM – Officer’s conducted a fire inspection at the Day’s Inn.
4:45 PM – Report of a traffic hazard in the 15100 Blk. of Main St. Officer determined there was not a traffic hazard.
8:35 PM – LPD assisted Laredo Pd with escorting the family of an injured officer who was shot in the line of duty through Lytle on IH 35.
June 3
1:24 AM – Officer responded to 15100 Blk. of Main St. for an alarm.
10:40 AM – Officer responded to Alexander Ins. for a business alarm.
11:15 AM – Officer assisted AMR out of Devine on IH 35 at Creek St.
1:20 PM – Officer assisted with traffic control after a tree fell in the roadway in the 17900 Blk. of Wisdom Rd.
2:43 PM – Officer assisted a motorist with changing a flat tire on IH 35 at mile marker 131.
5:30 PM – Officer responded to the 18000 Blk. of FM 2790 N for a burglary of a building. Unknown suspect(s) forced entry into a storage building and stole an ice chest and air compressor, total value $525.
June 4
5:38 AM – Officer assisted Atascosa Co. EMS in the 14700 Blk. of Adams St.
7:43 AM – Officer responded to Bill Millers for an alarm.
10:07 AM – Officer assisted Atascosa Co. EMS in the 19700 Blk. of Office St.
10:54 AM – Officer assisted a motorist with changing a flat tire on IH 35 Access Rd @ FM 2790.
1:59 PM – Officers assisted EMS in the 3900 Blk. of Main St.
5:20 PM – Officers assisted a disabled motorist on Oak St @ S. Somerset St.
7:30 PM – Officers responded to Main St. at Somerset St. for a vehicle accident.
