Lytle Police Report May 28-June 3


May 28

9:28 AM – Officers responded to CR 6843 for a report of a vehicle that had run off the road and was in the bushes. A 16 YO male showed up and stated he had run off the road around midnight.
11:00 AM – Officer responded to Pumphouse Carwash to assist Atascosa Co. Pct. 2 Constable’s Office with a narcotics arrest.
11:51 AM – Officers responded to HEB Plus for a report of a shoplifter. A 62-year-old male subject was arrested for Theft < $100. Subject was cited and released.
2:06 PM – Officer responded to Bealls for a report of a dog left in a hot vehicle unattended. The owners were counseled about the dangers of leaving a dog in a hot vehicle.
3:52 PM – Officers responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officers located the vehicle, all was fine.
9:43 PM – Officer responded to 14900 Blk. of Adams St. for a report of two males attempting to break into complainant’s vehicle. Nothing was taken from the vehicle.
May 29
10:10 AM – Officer responded to RR Crossings at Coalmine for a report of a malfunctioning railroad crossing. The gate did not reset when the train passed. Union Pacific Railroad was notified.
1:08 PM – Officer responded to Riding High Customs for a report of an unknown person(s) who stole 4 tires/rims off a vehicle. Incident occurred on Sunday 5/27/18, total estimated loss $2,500.
2:45 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and talked to an officer in reference to harassment.
4:30 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus for a report of a theft of an A/C window unit, bowl mixer and a flashlight. A 53-year-old male subject was arrested for Theft < $2,500 with 2 previous convictions or more. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail. 6:54 PM – Officer responded to 19500 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. for a report of a suspicious vehicle in the area. Officer was unable to locate. 8:33 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a suspicious person. Officer discovered an adult male who was intoxicated sitting outside the HEB Store. Suspect was detained and released to a friend. 8:42 PM – Officer responded to Lytle High School for a talk to an officer in reference to a verbal disturbance over a basketball game. 9:32 PM – Officer responded to Chevron for a welfare check on the store clerk. Officer made location and contacted EMS. Officer departed scene when EMS arrived. 9:40 PM – Officer responded to 14900 Blk. of Starcross Trail for a report of an emergency button triggered in a Red Toyota Camry. Officer was unable to locate the vehicle. 11:30 PM – Complainant called the office and talked to an officer in reference to a vehicle repossession at 14700 Blk. of Adams St.
May 30
9:30 AM – Officer responded to Coal Mine Subdivision for a talk to an officer in reference to extra patrols, complainant stated during the hours of 3am and 4am when there’s suspicious activity in the area. 10:16 AM – Officers responded to Bank St. at Mesquite St. for a report of a low hanging line. The line was determined to be a TV cable and was moved. 3:26 PM – Officers responded to 15100 Blk. of Magnolia St. for a report of an alarm. 3:42 PM – Officer responded to Central Auto Salvage for a report of an accident with injuries at location. Officer arrived and discovered a piece of metal flew off a vehicle striking another while on FM 2790 N in Medina Co. Both parties were referred to Medina Co.
May 31
6:26 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 S at FM 3175 for a report of a man changing a flat tire who was in the roadway causing a traffic hazard. Officer arrived and assisted by directing traffic until the tire was changed. 10:30 AM – Officer responded to Main St. at N. Somerset St. and provided funeral escort for an out-of town funeral procession to the Lytle Community Cemetery. 4:05 PM – Officer responded to Pumphouse Carwash for a two vehicle crash. 4:23 PM – Officer responded to Wisdom Rd. at Ball Rd. for a report of a stalled vehicle causing a traffic hazard. Officer searched the area, unable to locate. 6:10 PM – Officer responded to 200 Blk. of CR 6842 to assist Medina Co. with a disturbance.
June 1
1:00 PM – Officer was dispatched to Main @ FM2790 N for a minor two-vehicle accident. 3:57 PM – Report of shoplifting at the HEB Plus. Unknown person(s) stole 2 ladders and a shopping cart of merchandise. The theft was discovered later in the day. 6:28 PM – Officer responded to Twin Liquors to unlock a vehicle. 9:22 PM – Officer assisted DPS with a traffic accident on IH 35 S. MM 130. 9:22 PM – Officer responded to the HEB C Store for 2 males that each stole a 50lb bag of deer corn. The suspect(s) departed prior to the officer’s arrival. 9:55 PM – Officer assisted Bexar County Sheriff’s Office with a traffic accident on Wisdom @ Old Frio City Road.
June 2
12:09 AM – Officer assisted Atascosa County Sheriff’s Office with a disturbance on the 1900 Block of FM 3175. 1:28 AM – Officer responded to the 15100 Block of Main Street for an activated burglar alarm. 11:00 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 N for a report of trailer in tow that was becoming unhitched. 12:49 PM – Officers responded to the HEB C Store for a couple acting suspiciously. Both parties were issued trespass warnings and departed without incident. 3:30 PM – Officers responded to FM 3175 @ IH 35 N. Access for a motorist assist. 4:40 PM – Officer responded to the IH 35 S. access road for a reckless driver. 7:55 PM – Officer responded to the McDonald’s for an activated panic alarm. 7:55 PM – Officer responded to Diaz Street for a report of possible trespassers. A search of the area revealed nothing.
June 3
9:16 AM – Officer responded to Community National Bank for a report of criminal mischief. Unknown person(s) damaged a door with a rock. 9:17 AM – Officer responded to SH 132 @ CR 6840 for an individual walking in the middle of the highway. The subject was detained and released to the Medina County Sheriff’s Office. 11:49 AM – Officer responded to Magnolia Street and spoke with the homeowner who requested extra patrol. 1:10 PM – Officer was dispatched to the police department to meet with a complainant regarding suspicious person(s). 1:49 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a dog left in a vehicle unattended. The owner was counseled on the dangers of leaving a pet in a vehicle unattended. 4:40 PM – Officer responded to the HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle. 4:40 PM – Officer responded to the 15000 Blk. of Lake Breeze to assist Lytle EMS with a patient. 5:40 PM – Officer responded to the 14000 Blk. of Railroad Street for a report of a parent having a discipline problem with their teenager. 6:30 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus for a report of a shoplifter. A 21-year-old male subject was arrested for Theft >$100<$750 after allegedly stealing an A/C window unit valued at $112. The arrestee was booked into the Atascosa County Jail without incident.
6:45 PM – Officer responded to the Whataburger parking lot for a report of a dog left in a vehicle unattended. The vehicle departed prior to officer’s arrival.
7:40 PM – Officer responded to the 15000 Blk. of Hester St. to unlock a vehicle.
8:20 PM – Officer responded to the St. Andrews Church Festival for a report of an assault. Case under investigation.
