June 11

1:35 AM Capt. Reyes –  Officer found unsecured building on the 18000 Blk. of IH 35 N. Access Road while conducting a security check.
11:09 AM – Officer responded to the Valero to unlock a vehicle.
11:09 AM – Report of suspicious activity at the Lytle Community Cemetery.
11:09 AM – Report of a possible stolen truck tractor in the 20000 Blk. of IH 35. After further investigation, it was determined the truck wasn’t stolen. The owner took custody of the vehicle.
11:37 AM – Officers provided a funeral escort from Hurley Funeral Home to Lytle Community Cemetery.
2:47 PM – Report of a lost set of keys on Cottage St.
2:47 PM – Report of a distraught female under the overpass on FM 2790 East. The individual wasn’t located.
6:40 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a hit and run accident.
7:42 PM – Report of a firearm stolen from a vehicle on the 15100 Blk. of Magnolia St.
11:15 PM – Officer responded to Diaz Street for a request of extra patrol after the complainant observed suspicious individuals walking near the railroad tracks.
June 12
2:15 AM – Officer responded to the 18000 Blk. of FM 2790 N for a theft of a motorcycle. The motorcycle was last seen on or about June 8th.
3:54 AM – Officer responded to Old Frio City Road for a water leak and provided traffic control until public works arrived on scene.
11:42 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus to unlock a vehicle.
1:41 PM – Officer responded to the Lytle Nursing Home for a natural death. A female subject was pronounced deceased at 1:27 PM.
5:48 PM – Officer responded to the John Lott Municipal Park for a welfare check on a child. All was okay.
June 13
3:10 AM – Officer responded to Naeglin Rd. to assist Atascosa County Sheriff’s Office with an activated residential alarm.
12:58 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 N. for a minor traffic collision.
3:15 PM – Officer responded to TX Hwy 132 to assist DPS with a traffic stop.
5:00 PM – Officer responded to the 18000 Blk. of N. Prairie to assist animal control with an injured dog.
June 14
3:10 AM – Officers responded to the Days Inn for a disturbance in the parking lot between a couple. After further investigation a 50-year-old female subject was arrested for Assault Family Member – Impeding Breathing.
8:10 AM – Officer responded to Lytle-Somerset Street for a report of a juvenile walking in the roadway.
9:15 AM – Officers responded to the 15300 Blk. of Main Street for a civil standby.
3:25 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 MM130 SB for a one-vehicle traffic accident.
7:29 PM – Report of an employee theft at the Sprint store located inside the HEB Plus. An employee possibly stole two cell phones valued at $1,872. Case is under investigation.
June 15
1:30 AM – During a business check at the Auto Zone, officer observed that both of the delivery trucks had their interior lights off. Both were secure and no signs of criminal activity were found.
12:00 PM – Officers were informed about illegal parking in handicap spots at the Atascosa Health Clinic. Officers spoke to the staff and the problem was corrected.
1:00 PM – Officer obtained statements in reference to a previous theft case.
1:25 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 at mile marker 132 to assist with a grass fire in the center median.
4:11 PM – Officer responded to FM 476 at J&M Lane to assist the Atascosa Co. Fire Marshal with a large grass fire.
5:00 PM – Officer dispatched to S. Somerset St. @ Main St. in reference to a vehicle creating a traffic hazard. Upon the officers arrival the vehicle had departed.
5:55 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 at mile marker 132 to assist with a grass fire in the center median.
8:40 PM – Department Officer responded to IH 35 at mile marker 132 to assist with a grass fire in the center median.
9:10 PM – Officer dispatched to the HEB Plus in reference to a vehicle damaged by a shopping cart that wasn’t secured properly after use.
10:20 PM – Extra Patrols were requested in the 18500 Blk. of S. Benton St. due to a suspicious vehicle seen in the area.
10:14 PM – Officer assisted Texas DPS with attempting to locate items thrown from a vehicle on IH 35.
June 16
7:11 AM – Officer took a report of graffiti on the concession stand at the John Lott Park.
8:20 AM – Officer responded to the HEB C-Store for a small grass fire that was extinguished.
9:31 AM – Officer responded to the HEB Plus to check the welfare of 2 dogs left inside a vehicle.
10:19 AM – Report of a lock possibly missing from a storage unit at the Lytle Mini Storage.
7:18 PM – Officer responded to the 15900 Blk. of Lake Shore Drive for a reported structure fire. Upon PD and FD arrival, neighbors had already extinguished the patio furniture that was on fire.
10:55 PM – Officer checked out a suspicious vehicle at the Dollar General.
11:45 PM – Officer responded to Norvell St. for a report of loud music.
June 17
8:05 AM – Officer responded to the Taco Bell for an alarm. All was fine.
11:18 AM – Officer responded to the 16000 Blk. of Lake Shore Dr. for a civil matter.
5:03 PM – Traffic stop in the 19300 Blk. of McDonald St. resulted in the arrest of a 46-year-old male subject for Violation of a Protective Order. Subject was booked into the Atascosa Co. Jail.
11:16 PM – Officer dispatched to FM 3175 @ Luckey Rd. to assist Atascosa Co. S.O. with an intoxicated subject.
