Lytle Police Report July 23-29


July 23

3:05 AM – Officer responded to 63200 Blk. of Hwy. 132 S to assist Atascosa EMS with an unresponsive male. The male was transported to Southwest General Hospital.
8:30 AM – Officer assisted the public with fingerprints for employment purposes.
10:34 AM – Officer responded to 19000 Blk. of N. Prairie St. for a report of a theft of an 8 foot ladder, a lawn mower and an air compressor form complainant’s carport. Total estimated loss $225.
11:34 AM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and reported a stolen 2014 Mitsubishi Mirage vehicle from residence at 19800 Blk. of Creek St. The vehicle was left running and unoccupied and was taken by an unknown person.
12:50 PM – Officer recovered an abandoned bicycle found underneath the steps from 19800 Blk. of Creek St.
3:35 PM – Officer responded to 15000 Bk. Of Main St. for a report of a male individual possibly intoxicated. Officer was unable to locate.
5:13 PM – Officer responded to Alexander Insurance for a report of an alarm.
8:02 PM – Officer responded to 15200 Blk. of Park Place for a report of a verbal disturbance. One of the parties agreed to leave the residence for the night.
July 24
12:15 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 NB at Medina Co. Line to assist motorist with a tire change.
10:45 AM – Officer responded to Houston St. at D’Hanis St. for a report of a suspicious person in the area. Officer located a subject who was working for CPS Energy.
2:00 PM – Officer responded to FM 2790 E for a welfare check on a dog in the bed of a pick-up truck. Officer was unable to locate.
5:12 PM – Officer responded to Tots to Teens to unlock a vehicle.
6:30 PM – Officer responded to 18600 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. and talked to complainant in regards to a possible theft by a contractor.
6:40 PM – Officer responded to Whataburger for a report of a dog left in a vehicle with the widows rolled up. Officer located the vehicle and dog. The windows were down and the dog had water.
9:45 PM – Officer responded to John Lott Park for a report of a suspicious person. Officer was unable to locate.
July 25
12:14 AM – Officer responded to Brown’s Tackle & Gun for an alarm.
1:13 AM – Officer was contacted by dispatch who informed that the vehicle stolen from Lytle on 7/22/18 had just been recovered by San Antonio PD.
2:05 AM – Officer responded to John Lott Park P-Lot for a suspicious person. Officer made contact with a male individual repairing a broken bicycle chain.
2:45 AM – Officer responded to Pirates Express for a report of an alarm. All doors and windows were secure.
8:30 AM – Complainant talked to officer in reference to an unknown person who used a virtual Sonic gift card at the Sonic in Lytle on 7/24/18 to purchase $80. The gift card was purchased via the Sonic app that is tied to complainant’s bank account. Complainant had already filed a report with the local PD reference to accessing the bank account.
9:04 AM – Officer responded to Farmers Tractor for a report of a counterfeit $100 bill found in a tractor parked in the back of the business.
12:10 PM – Complainant talked to officer in reference to a theft that occurred on Wheeler Rd. Officer referred complainant to Bexar Co. S.O.
12:15 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and reported that an unknown person(s) used her social security number to gain employment.
2:30 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a two vehicle crash.
3:09 PM – Officer responded to 19200 Blk. of First St. for a welfare check on a resident. Complainant reported hearing noises underneath his mobile home. Complainant’s mother arrived to check on complainant’s welfare. All was ok.
5:05 PM – Officer responded to 63200 Blk. of Hwy. 132 for a report a theft. Complainant reported that while he was in the hospital he had numerous items taken from his house.
5:12 PM – Officers responded to HEB C-Store to assist Atascosa EMS with a subject refusing to leave the store. Officers located subject who was in a state of health crisis. Subject was transported to Southwest General Hospital for an evaluation.
8:00 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store P-Lot to unlock a vehicle.
9:35 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 S at Mile Marker 129 to assist Texas DPS Highway Patrol with a possible crash. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
July 26
9:30 AM – Officer responded to N. Prairie St. at Laredo St. for a report of a suspicious female juvenile walking in the area. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
9:55 AM – Officer responded to Railroad St. at N. Prairie St. for a report of a suspicious female juvenile walking in the area. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
10:26 AM – Officer responded to Pecan Grove Apartments and detained a female juvenile from Von Ormy, Texas that was entered as a runaway on 7/25/18. The record was confirmed and the juvenile was released to her mother.
12:30 PM – Officer responded to FM 2790 E at IH 35 S Access Rd. and provided traffic control for the transport of a double-wide mobile home.
3:00 PM – Officer responded to Lytle Apartments for a report of illegal dumping. Complainant reported that the driver of a Silver Chevrolet Silverado dropped off a garbage bag alongside the roadway.
3:10 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a two vehicle crash.
3:28 PM – Officer responded to FM 2790 N (approx. 2 miles north of city limits) and assisted Medina Co. SO/TXDPS with a one vehicle accident.
8:45 PM – Officer responded to Main St. at Somerset St. for a report of a vehicle driving recklessly. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
July 27
1:30 AM – Officer observed what appeared to be two juveniles riding bakes at Laredo St. at N. Prairie St. Field contact resulted in the discovery that one subject was a 7-9 YO girl and the other subject was her father who stated they were out for a bike ride because he works the overnight shift and it was his night off.
6:34 AM – Officer responded to Brown Tackle & Gun for a report of an alarm.
10:07 AM – Officer responded to 17800 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. for a report of a white Ford pickup that drove up to complainant’s property and front passenger exited and cut the gate padlock and parties entered the property. Presumably, they quickly exited once they realized the residence was equipped with exterior cameras.
2:00 PM – Officer talked to complainant at Camino Real who stated a patient wanted to file a report. Incident did not occur in Lytle PD jurisdiction and complainant was referred to Atascosa Co.
4:10 PM – Officer responded to 18600 Blk. of N. Prairie St. for a report of a suspicious person. The subject was identified and was asked not to return.
4:40 PM – Officer responded to 15100 Blk. of Magnolia St. for a report of a neighbor entering complainant’s house without permission. Officer spoke with the neighbor who admitted to walking into the residence because he was going to offer to sell some plywood. Officer informed subject that it was illegal to enter a person’s residence without their permission.
5:55 PM – Officer responded to Joe’s Automotive and talked to complainant in reference to a theft that occurred in San Antonio. Officer referred complainant to San Antonio PD.
6:32 PM – Officer responded to 19600 Blk. of Bruce St. for a report of a domestic disturbance. Officer arrived and the door became ajar as he was knocking. Officer entered the residence and conducted a sweep and found nobody on property. Officer contacted a family member who confirmed the female was okay.
7:05 PM – Officer responded to FM 3175 at IH 35 S Access Rd. and directed traffic for a disabled vehicle.
8:00 PM – Officer responded to 100 Hoffman Rd. to assist Atascosa Co. Deputy with a disturbance.
10:16 PM – Officer responded to Dollar General for a welfare check on a child in the parking lot. Officer arrived and was unable to locate.
July 28
4:23 AM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officer in reference to being almost run over at the Valero. Complainant was intoxicated and coming from San Antonio where he had been ejected from a bar. Officer advised complainant to stop by the Police Station and file a report but complainant never agreed to come in.
8:27 AM – Officer responded to Flexi Compras for a report of an unruly customer. Upon officer’s arrival, the subject had left.
12:52 PM – Officer responded to First Klass Cleaners for a report of a suspicious male asking for money. Subject was a local and was advised to stop asking for money. Subject departed.
1:40 PM – Officer responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a two females inside a gray Camaro involved in a physical altercation. Officer arrived and was advised the vehicle departed with the females inside. The vehicle was located at Chevron and officer made contact with the females who would not admit to the assault nor were injuries visible.
2:10 PM – Officer was dispatched to 19700 Blk. of Dawson St. to assist Atascosa EMS with a bee sting. Officer was on another call and Atascosa Co. responded to call.
4:17 PM – Officer responded to N. Prairie St. at Lake St. for a report of a verbal disturbance taking place in a vehicle. Officer arrived but was unable to locate.
7:00 PM – Officer responded to 14800 Blk. of Lytle-Somerset St. for a report of a two vehicle crash.
9:15 PM – Officer responded to Bruce St. for a report of suspicious activity.
10:50 PM – Officer responded to US Renal Care for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
11:31 PM – Officer responded to FM 463 at Lake Shore Dr. for a report of a shirtless man lying on the side of the road. Officer searched for about 2 miles each direction and was unable to locate.
11:40 PM – Officer responded to Bill Miller BBQ to unlock a vehicle.
July 29
5:21 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 S at Mile Marker 131 for a report of a broken down vehicle blocking the ramp. Officer discovered a pickup on the shoulder just outside city limits. The driver completed changing a flat tire and left safely.
6:42 PM – Officer responded to 18300 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. for a report of a black Ford Mustang that crashed into complainant’s fence. Upon arrival, the vehicle had already departed. Complainant advised they exchanged information. Officer advised complainant he would document the info but no crash report would be completed.
11:04 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 S at Exit 133 for a report of a reckless driver. Officer located the vehicle and discovered an elderly driver who was having difficulty driving at night. Officer made sure the driver got to his residence on Bruce St. safely.
11:09 PM – While out on previous call, officer located a tree limb laying in the middle of the street causing a traffic hazard. Officer removed the limb.
11:40 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 NB at FM 2790 to assist motorist with traffic control. Motorist was changing a tire on the interstate.
11:40 PM – While on patrol on Main St. and S. Somerset St. officer discovered two vehicles blocking the intersection. One vehicle was in the wrong lane attempting to jump start a stalled vehicle. Officer assisted the driver by pushing his stalled vehicle to the curb safely off the street.
