Dec. 24

8:10 AM – Officer observed a person dumping trash in the dumpster at Joe’s Auto on Main St. Person sated they worked for business and had permission.
8:55 AM –Complainant called the PD
8:55 AM – Walk in Complainant at the PD
9:46 AM – Complainant reported damage to two lights on her parked vehicle.
1:00 PM – Complainant reported she was in a minor accident earlier in the day.
1:15 PM – Officer dispatched to Blume Dr. to assist a resident who locked herself out of the house.
3:45 PM – Complainant at HEB Plus Report of a vehicle parked in a disabled spot with parking plate or hang tag.
6:55 PM – Officers assisted with traffic control at the intersection of FM 2790 N and Old Frio City Rd.
8:40 PM – Officers assisted EMS at the Camino Real Crisis Center.
Dec. 25
1:13 AM – Officers assisted with a disturbance just North of city on the SB access road.
8:50 AM – Officer observed a female inside the gated area in the rear of the store, it was determined she was an employee resetting a cooling unit.
10:45 AM – Met with the complainant at the PD.
11:40 AM – Officer found an open door at the Lytle HS, he checked the building & everything appeared OK.
3:34 PM – Officers observed a motorist trying to change a tire. Officers assisted and the motorist was able to get back on the way.
4:03 PM – Suspicious Activity at Lytle HS Officers responded to a report of someone trying to get into the front doors of the high school. All campuses were checked and the person wasn’t located.
5:00 PM – Officers were dispatched to talk to an officer about an ongoing problem.
8:20 PM – Officers checked IH-35 just North of the city for a report of a vehicle parked on the side of IH35 facing the wrong direction. Officers checked the area and were unable to locate.
8:36 PM – Officers received a report of a wrong way driver on IH-35, headed north in the southbound lane (just leaving the rest area in Natalia). Officers didn’t locate the vehicle on IH-35 but did respond to assist BCSO when it collided with another vehicle near the Luckey Rd. overpass.
8:55 PM – A female requested a ride to Haven for Hope in San Antonio, when officers went to locate her she had already departed.
Dec. 26
3:20 PM – Ofc. responded to and located a suspicious person that had been coming in and of the Subway on McDonald St.
4:08 PM – Officers responded to a shoplifter at HEB, he fled on foot. Has apprehended at True Value. A 41-year-old male subject was arrested for shoplifting, enhanced to a felony because of two or more prior theft convictions. He was booked into the Atascosa Co. Jail.
6:20 PM – Officer assisted TXDPS in escorting an oversized load through Lytle on Main St.
11:40 PM – Officer assisted with a disabled motorist on IH-35 until a tow truck arrived.
Dec. 27
6:30 AM – Officer arrived and located an individual, he was asked to leave.
6:35 AM – Officers responded to a forced entry burglary at Hacienda Jalisciense. An undisclosed amount of cash was taken. A suspect was identified but the owner opted to not file charges.
1:42 PM – Officers arrested a 21-year-old male subject for theft. He tried to depart the store with about $200 worth of items. He was booked into the Atascosa Co. Jail.
4:30 PM – Walk in complainant at the PD
4:50 PM – Officers assisted with a report of a possible burglary in progress, the residence was checked and all was okay.
7:05 PM – Walk in complainant at the PD.
7:25 PM – Comp. requested extra patrol at Subway on McDonald St.
7:40 PM – Officers located and identified a suspicious person at HEB C-Store.
8:20 PM – Officer assisted EMS with a sick person on CR 6701.
Dec. 28
2:45 AM – Complainant in the 14800 block of Lytle-Somerset St. reported that the security lights from McDonalds were shining into her yard.
6:03 AM –Unknown person used a rock to break a glass window at the Ram Store. No entry was made into the store.
6:03 AM –Unknown person tampered with a rear window of Pirate’s Cove.
4:00 PM – Officers met with complainant at O’Reilly’s Auto Parts on McDonald St.
4:30 PM – A person, who was later identified, gained entry into a vacant room at Days Inn and stayed without paying or checking in. The initial case involved a report that someone was kidnapped, it was quickly determined to be false.
5:55 PM –Officers responded to Lytle Nursing Home and took an unwanted visitor at that location.
6:55 PM – Vehicle Lockout at Bill Millers.
7:10 PM – Minor two vehicle parking lot accident at Bill Millers.
Dec. 29
8:35 AM – Officers responded to a 911 call in the 19000 Blk. of Bruce Street, all was okay.
8:51 AM – Officers responded to Quicksilver Automotive for an activated burglar alarm.
10:53 AM – Officers assisted a disabled motorist at the John Lott Park with a vehicle jump start.
11:02 AM – Officers assisted a lost motorist in the 14000 Blk. of Main Street with directions.
3:30 PM – Officer dispatched to the Family Dollar for an attempted shoplifter. Case under investigation.
4:29 PM – Officers provided a courtesy ride from the 15500 Blk. of Main Street to Greenwood Road.
7:28 PM – Officers responded to the Lytle Nursing Home for a vehicle lockout.
10:18 PM – Officers on patrol investigated a suspicious vehicle in the parking lot of the Lytle High School. All was fine.
10:23 PM – Officers on patrol located an open door in the 18000 Blk. of FM 2790 N. No signs of criminal activity.
Dec. 30
1:20 AM – Officers on patrol conducted a field contact with a group of people walking alongside the roadway in the 14700 Blk. of Main St.. All was okay.
1:50 AM – Officers on patrol conducted a field contact on a pedestrian walking in the 19300 Blk. of FM 2790 East. All was okay.
12:50 PM – Assisted Lytle EMS with a patient on the 13000 Blk. of FM 2 790 East.
3:05 PM – Report of a civil matter on First Street.
8:26 PM – Officers investigated a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Main St. and McDonald St.
11:05 PM – Suspicious Person at John Lott Park.
Dec. 31
6:42 AM – Officer responded to 15100 Blk. of Magnolia St. for a report of complaining hearing strange noises coming from his detached garage and suspected a burglary in progress. Officer checked the area and found no signs of criminal activity.
12:45 PM – Officers responded to 15800 Blk. of FM 463 for a report of a welfare check.
2:10 PM – Officers responded to 15100 Blk. of Magnolia St. for a report of a welfare check.
2:15 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus for a report of a hit and run.
2:40 PM – Officers responded to 15700 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a theft of a mobile scooter that was left alongside the roadway after running out of power. Total estimated value $1,500.
4:33 PM – Officers responded to 18300 IH 35 S to assist Bexar Co. with a reported domestic violence.
4:58 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus for a report of a shoplifter who departed prior to officers’ arrival. Total amount that was attempted to be taken $411.06.
6:15 PM – Officers responded to 19300 Blk. of McDonald St. for a report of a transformer malfunction causing black outs. CPS was notified.
Jan. 1
1:20 AM – Officers responded to 15000 Blk. of Mesquite St. for a report of a verbal disturbance.
2:01 AM – Officers responded to 18900 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. for a report of loud music. Officers spoke with the home owner who agreed to turn the music off.
5:20 AM – Complainant talked to officer in reference to a welfare check.
6:55 AM – Officer talked to complainant in reference to an incident that occurred in Frio Co.
8:15 AM – Officers responded to TX Auto Salvage for a report of an open door. Officers found the door to the scale barn open. All was fine.
11:19 AM – Officers responded to 15300 Blk. of Main St. for a report of an alarm.
1:00 PM – Officers responded to IH 35 S Access Rd. and assisted with a vehicle stalled on the roadway. The driver was unresponsive and deemed to be intoxicated. A 32-year-old male subject was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
3:30 PM – Officers responded to N. Pecan St. to talk to complainant in regards to fireworks going off. Officers patrolled the area, unable to locate anyone shooting fireworks.
3:30 PM – Complainant called the Police Station and talked to officers in reference to a possible harassment case involving two juveniles. Officers attempted to contact the suspect’s mother but were unable to make contact.
5:30 PM – Officers responded to 15900 Blk. of CR 681 for a follow-up investigation.
Jan. 2
1:12 AM – Officers responded to First St. and talked to officers in reference to a civil matter involving his neighbors and his dogs.
4:48 AM – Officer responded to 19800 Blk. of Bruce St. for a report of a tire theft. An unknown person(s) stole the wheel/tire from a parked Toyota Corolla.
5:26 AM – Officer responded to Metro PCS for a report of an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
10:13 AM – Officers responded to Pirates Cove for a report of an employee popping fireworks behind the establishment.
4:38 PM – While on patrol, Officers noticed a man resting at the entrance of the old Dollar General building. Officers talked to complainant who stated he was passing through town and decided to take a break and rest there.
4:59 PM – Officers responded to 14700 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a drop 911 call from a land line. Upon arrival, officers made contact with the resident who stated the phone line has been acting up and the call must have been due to telephone problem.
5:09 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus for a report of a customer harassing other customers shopping.
7:41 PM – Officers responded to 19700 Blk. of Bruce St. for a report of a possible gas leak.
10:45 PM – Officer responded to 19300 Blk. of McDonald St. for a report of an alarm.
11:25 PM – Officer responded to 63300 Blk. of Diaz St. for a report of shots fired in the area. Officer noted that the shots were coming from outside of city limits.
Jan. 3
10:06 AM – Officers responded to 19200 Blk. of Martin St. to unlock a vehicle.
10:14 AM – Officers responded to 15600 Blk. of CR 681 for a report of an alarm.
2:40 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus for a report of a disturbance. Officers located subjects, all was verbal.
3:37 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus for a report of a male subject walking around on the cell phone using profanity. Officers search the area, unable to locate.
3:44 PM – Officers responded to 19700 Blk. of Bruce St. for a report of a disturbance. Officers spoke with parties involved, it was all verbal.
4:20 PM – Officers responded to 15000 Blk. of Gate St. for a report of a residential structure fire.
Jan. 4
10:30 AM – Officer responded to Days Inn for a welfare check on a missing person.
11:07 AM – Officer responded to Hurley Funeral Home and provided funeral escort.
11:26 AM – Complainant stopped by the Police Station and filed an ID Theft report.
11:52 AM – Officer responded to Lytle State Bank for a report of a reckless driver. Complainant stated the driver cut her off getting onto IH 35 from Loop 410 and followed the driver to the Lytle. Both parties had different views of what occurred. All was okay.
12:15 PM – While at HEB C-Store officer was flagged down by a motorist having vehicle problems. Officer assisted with a jump start.
12:30 PM – Officer provided funeral escort from the South city limits to Lytle Community Cemetery.
2:54 PM – Officer responded to 14400 Blk. of Railroad St. for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Officer made contact with two males who stated they were working on the vehicle and were test driving it when it broke down blocking the drive/gate entrance of residence. They were able to start the vehicle and clear the entrance of residence.
5:30 PM – Report of a 911 hang up call coming from the Lytle Police Station.
6:10 PM – Officer talked to complainant in regards to her debit card being on hold after pumping gas at HEB C-Store. Complainant wanted incident to be recorded just in case she’s a victim of debit card abuse.
10:30 PM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report of a hit & run of a parked vehicle.
Jan. 5
2:00 AM – Officer responded to El Bufalo Pawn Shop for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Further investigation revealed the passenger identified as a 36-year-old male subject who had an Active Warrant out of Bexar Co. for the Original Charge of Trespassing. Subject was transported to Atascosa Co. Jail.
9:10 AM – Officer responded to 14600 Blk. of Main St. to unlock a vehicle.
6:32 PM – Officer responded to 16300 Blk. of Ethan’s Crossing for a report of suspicious activity at a house for sale that complainant thought it was unoccupied. Officer drove to the house and spoke to a woman who stated she had just moved into the residence about 10 days before.
8:35 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 SB for a report of a motorcycle passing up motorist on the shoulder. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
Jan. 6
1:10 AM – Officer responded to 19200 Blk. of First St. to assist Atascosa EMS with a male patient.
1:16 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Department and reported a civil matter – child custody.
3:51 PM – Officers responded to IH 35 Access Rd. at McDonald St. for a report of a reckless driver. Officers searched the area, unable to locate.
6:05 PM – Complainant stopped by the Police Department to talk to an officer in reference to a civil matter. Officers referred complainant to Bexar Co. due to jurisdiction.
