Lytle Police Report August 28-September 3

August 28
2:38 AM – Officers responded to 20000 Blk. of Hyde Park to assist Atascosa EMS with a patient.

7:12 AM – Officer responded to 19300 Blk. of McDonald St. to assist Atascosa EMS with an activated medical alert. Patient was transported by EMS.
8:36 AM – Officer responded to FM 2790 E for a report of a possible intoxicated driver driving recklessly. Officer located the vehicle on IH 35 S and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was not intoxicated but claimed there was a road rage between him and the caller.
9:15 AM – Officer assisted the public with fingerprinting for security check.
10:02 AM – Officer responded to Whataburger for a report of an intoxicated male. Officer arrived and made contact with the male who denied being intoxicated. Officer could smell a powerful odor of an intoxicant on his breath. The 41-year-old male was arrested for Public Intoxication. Subject was cited and released to his wife.
11:40 AM – Officer responded to 19500 Blk. of Martin St. for a report of the natural death of an 89-year-old female subject.
5:05 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 SB Frontage at Office St. for a report of lawn mower that kicked up a rock and struck the vehicle.
5:10 PM – Officer responded to Lucky Rd. at FM 2790 to assist Atascosa Co. and Bexar Co. with a possible drive-by shooting.
11:30 PM – Officer responded to Magnolia St. for a report of a cable line hanging over the roadway.
August 29
3:12 AM – Officers’ responded to Lytle State Bank for an alarm. Officer found the building to be secure.
7:14 AM – Officer responded to IH 35 at FM 2790 Park & Ride for a report of a burglary of vehicle. An unknown person(s) broke into complainant’s vehicle. Investigation revealed that the actor broke the driver’s door window and opened the hood making an attempt to steal the battery. Total estimated cost of repair $500.
9:15 AM – Complainant called the Police Station and reported a hit & run accident that occurred on 8/27/17 at 1:30 am on Main St. near Railroad St. Complainant descried the hit & run vehicle as a red car.
9:25 AM – Officer responded to HEB Plus for a report a man acting as if he were on drugs. Officer located the male subject who appeared to have mental health issues and stated he was traveling south.
3:15 PM – Officers responded to Pecan Grove Apartments for a report of the natural death of a 42-year-old male subject.
5:20 PM – Officers responded to Lytle Jr. High to assist Medina Co. SRO with escorting a student from the building.
6:41 PM – Officers responded to the 18200 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. for a talk to an officer in reference to a broken weed eater.
8:24 PM – Officers responded to HEB Plus for a report of a suspicious male carrying a firearm inside the store. HEB manager advised the male he cannot carry a firearm on the premises.
8:42 PM – Officer responded to Wisdom Rd. for a report of an intoxicated driver. Officer searched the area, unable to locate.
9:55 PM – Officers responded to HEB C-Store for a report of a suspicious male. Officer made contact with the male, all was fine.
August 30
1:07 AM – Officer responded to 19500 Blk. of Martin St. for a report of a theft of a red iron bench taken from complainant’s front porch. Total estimated value $100.
7:59 AM – Officer responded to S. Benton at Mesquite St. for a report of a 14 YO female juvenile that was struck by a motorcycle while she was cross-country running. Motorcyclist did not stop and fled the scene. Juvenile was transported to the hospital with possible injuries. The motorcycle is described as a black Harley-style ridden by a Caucasian man in his late 40’s early 50’s wearing a black vest and a black helmet with red on the sides. Case under investigation.
9:20 AM – Officer assisted the public with fingerprints.
2:30 PM – Officers assisted San Antonio PD with conducting a traffic stop on IH 35 and executing a search warrant of Star Cross Trail.
8:06 PM – Officer responded to Main St. to assist a stranded out of town motorist with locating CD Tires in Natalia. The motorist was heading to Carrizo Springs when he got a flat tire. Officer escorted the motorist to CD Tires.
August 31
12:20 AM – Officer responded to Lytle Apartments for a report of a disturbance. There was no evidence of injury therefore parties were counseled reading their action.
2:15 AM – Officer responded to 15200 Blk. of Main St. for a report of a civil matter.
8:35 AM – Officer responded to The Vape House for an alarm. Officer arrived and found building to be secure.
9:00 AM – Lytle PD received a report forwarded from San Antonio PD regarding an assault that occurred on 7/23/17 on White Cap Dr. The victim had reported the assault to SAPD who mistakenly took the report before realizing it was Lytle PD’s jurisdiction. Officer attempted to contact the victim and left a message.
10:23 AM – Officer responded to Camino Real Crisis Center to assist them with an unruly 36 YO female that resulted in the issuance of an Emergency Detention by a Medina Co. magistrate. The female was transported to San Antonio State Hospital by Medina Co.
2:40 PM – Officer responded to US Post Office for a report of a two vehicle crash.
5:50 PM – Officer responded to IH 35 SB at on ramp for a report of an abandoned vehicle. Officer red tagged the vehicle.
8:05 PM – Officer responded to Brand M Ranchettes to assist Atascosa Co. Deputy with a possible active disturbance.
September 1
12:15 AM – Officer responded to 18200 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. for a talk to an officer in reference to a haircut.
8:16 AM – Officer responded to 18600 Blk. of N. Benton St. to unlock a vehicle.
10:28 AM – Officer responded to 800 Blk. of CR 6853 to assist the Medina Co. with a report of a woman trapped under a car. Officer arrived and made contact with the resident who had hit her dog and there was miscommunication between the caller and mother resulting in the incorrect information being given to dispatch. The dog had minor injuries.
10:50 AM – Officer responded to Central Auto Salvage for a report of a two vehicle crash.
2:22 PM – Officer responded to the 19600 Blk. Of CR 681 for an alarm.
3:30 PM – Officer assisted HEB Plus with a money deposit.
5:32 PM – Officer responded to the 15800 Blk. Of CR 681 for a civil matter.
6:40 PM – Officers responded to the Lytle Nursing Home to assist EMS.
8:57 PM – Officers responded to the Exxon for a report of two male subjects fighting. Subjects departed prior to arrival.
9:12 PM – Officers’ responded to the 15600 Blk. of CR 681 for an alarm.
10:30 PM – Officer responded to the Chevron for a minor accident.
September 2
2:40 AM – While on patrol, Officer observed an opened door to a vehicle in the 19000 Blk. of N. Somerset St. Officer located an intoxicated subject in the passenger seat. The subject was released to a sober person at the residence.
3:00 AM – Officer responded to the HEB C-Store and stood by while a fuel tanker unloaded fuel due to the crowd forming.
5:40 AM – Officer responded to the Frontage of IH 35 for a suspicious activity call. It was later determined to have occurred in Bexar Co.
10:34 AM – Officer was dispatched to the Days Inn for an intoxicated subject in the parking lot. A 33-year-old male subject was arrested for Public Intoxication and booked into the ACSO Jail.
11:12 AM – Officer responded to the HEB Plus for an accident.
11:40 AM – Officer responded to Valero for an accident.
1:48 PM – Officers were dispatched to the HEB Plus for a report of a man openly carrying a pistol. Officers contacted the subject and advised him of the law for open carry and HEB not allowing it. The subject then departed.
11:35 PM – Officer responded to the Lytle Nursing Home for a Hospice Death.
September 3
1:06 AM – Officer responded to the 19500 Blk. Of Bruce St. to assist EMS.
1:30 AM – Officer responded to the Coal Mine Subdivision for a report of suspicious persons in the area. Officer located several juveniles. Officer released the juveniles to the parents/guardians.
8:55 AM – Officer was advised to be on the lookout for a subject that fled the scene of an accident in Bexar Co. on IH 35 at Luckey Rd. The Subject was located at the HEB Plus and transported back to the accident scene.
10:50 AM – Caller contacted the PD to report possible drug activity.
12:45 PM – Officer responded to the 15200 Blk. of Main St. in reference to a damaged utility pole.
6:34 PM – Officers responded to the 18900 Blk. of Wisdom Rd. for shots fired.
8:33 PM – Officers responded to the 18800 Blk. of N. Pecan for a suspicious person.
