Lucia “Lucy” Gallegos Duncan passed away Monday March 26th, 2018 in San Antonio, Texas.
She was born November 8th, 1927 in Hutto, Texas to Rutillo and Dolores Flores Gallegos, both precede her along with her husband Alvino Duncan of 32 years, two children Jesse and Josie Duncan, and her brothers David, Arthur, Raymondo and Jose Isabel Gallegos, Juan Flores.
Lucia worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant at Lytle nursing home for 17 years. She enjoyed dancing, bingo, sewing, and quilting.
Lucia is survived by her daughters Mary Alice and husband Archie King; Brenda Duncan-Hurtado; Grace and husband William Carroll; Elida and husband Jose Madrid; Gloria and husband Adolfo Gallegos, brother Jose Gallegos, Sisters Dolores Corona and Teresa Morquecho; grandchildren Jamie, DeAnda, Amanda, Cory, Cody, Allison, Ray, Missy, Jason, Valerie, Jose, Paul, Tammy, Tara, Danielle, Vanessa; 27 great-grandkids, and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation was held Thursday, March 29, 2018 starting at 2 pm and Rosary at 7 pm at the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel.
Chapel service was held Friday, March 30, 2018 at 10 am at the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel in Devine with interment following in Moore Catholic Cemetery in Moore.
