Julie Saathoff Mino was one of the featured local artists in the RAW Artists San Antonio “Connect” showcase at the beautiful Aztec Theater on September 20, 2018 in San Antonio, TX.
RAW Artists is an international independent arts organization based out of Los Angeles, operating in 70+ cities in the United States, Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom. Through their platform and events, they provide a network and platform to artists in visual art, music, film, photography, fashion, hair design, make-up and performing arts. RAW events are fun and alternative ways to showcase local community talents.
“It was an amazing night – what an honor to showcase alongside so many talented San Antonio artists,” said Mino. “There was great energy and creativity, all in such a gorgeous and historic theater. I was blown away by the support of family, friends, fellow artists and strangers and am so grateful for the experience.”
Julie exhibited a variety of her abstract mixed media works, including a large and stunning triptych displayed behind her. “Every piece seems to have a unique audience, speaks to people differently, and provides a story. What the viewer takes from a piece or sees in it is their own, that’s the beauty of abstract art to me – evoking a feeling, a memory, or just finishing a room nicely…the viewer owns the experience I visually created.”
