Lady Mustangs drop two games to start District play

The Natalia Lady Mustangs kept things competitive in their first two 30-3A battles last week, but unfortunately came up short when all was said and done. Natalia dropped three straight sets in Cotulla before forcing district favorite Jourdanton to four sets before bowing out.
Despite dropping the district battles, 1st year Natalia Head Coach Tamara Bednorz remained positive when asked about the losses.
“We are excited to see our girls competing like never before,” Bednorz said. “We stand proud as we know the goals we have reached thus far and we will continue climbing to the top.”
Cotulla was able to knock off Natalia by scores of 25-18, 25-23, 25-16.

Natalia shocked the district favorite Squaws in the opening set last Friday night, as the girls in blue handed big red a 25-20 loss. J-Town responded knocking off the Lady Stangs 25-19, 25-23, 25-15 to remain atop of the district standings.

Upcoming Games
This coming Friday, September 28th the Lady Mustangs will be open. On Tuesday, October 2nd the girls in blue welcome old district rival Lytle to town for games set to begin at 5:00 p.m.
