Kenneth Ray “Sam” Spannagel of Lytle, Texas and Dubois, Wyoming passed away June 19th in San Antonio. He was born October 9, 1927 in Cotton County Oklahoma. A graduate of Luther Burbank High School in San Antonio, he served in the Navy in WWII and Korea. He retired from civil service as an aviation instrument technician in 1973.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents Robbie Minnie (Crow) and Russell Edison Spannagel, his sister Edna Fowler and brothers Lawrence Eldon, Sr., Russell Eugene, Billy Wayne and Johnny Allen.
He is survived by his sister Phyllis A. Sandlin of Dripping Springs and his brother Patrick Earl Spannagel, Sr. of San Antonio, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many devoted friends.
Services will be at Mission Park South, 1700 SE Military Dr., San Antonio, Tx. 78214. Visitation will be at 9:00 AM and the Memorial Service at 11:00 AM followed by interment service at Mission Park South.
