JV tennis brings back five District gold medals

Bella Elias -1st place Girls Singles – Bella won three matches to claim the JV Girl’s Single Gold Medal, beating: J. Ramirez (6-1, 6-2), J. Gomez (6-0, 6-4), E. Alvarado (6-3, 6-1).
Elizabeth Alvarado won 2nd place Girls Singles, beating P. Rodriguez (6-1, 6-1), M. Flores (6-1, 6-1), and losing to her teammate B. Elias, winning the Silver Medal.
Caitlyn Breiten and Isaiah Rejino – 1st place Mixed Doubles – beating: Trevino/Lopez (6-2, 6-1), Wilkins/Patlan (6-1, 6-0), and in a tie breaker beat Rubio/Munoz (6-3, 7-6, 10-5).
JoJo Villanueva and Madi Mohr – 1st place Girl’s Doubles – Arabians won three matches to claim their gold medals. They beat Cuea/Juarez (6-2, 6-4), Olivarez/Hernandez (6-4, 6-2), and Moncada/Tapia (7-6, 6-4).
Justin Rozier and Peter Valerio – 4th place – beating Perez/Talamantes (6-1, 6-0), then losing to Ortiz/Rodriguez (3-6, 2-6). They lost their 3rd place match to Carrizo Springs (1-6, 4-6).
