Josephine Eldridge Kast

Josephine Eldridge Kast, passed away on February 1, 2017 at her home in San Antonio at the age of 83 years .

She was born July 3, 1933 in South Bend, Texas, one of seven children born to Joseph and Eula Mae Eldridge.
Josephine was active in the Women of the Moose, a division of the Loyal Order of the Moose. She loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In 1951 she married Charles L. Kast. They were married for 60 years and together they raised five children.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Eula Mae Eldridge; husband, Charles L. Kast; daughter, Regina Gayle Kast Coleman; brothers, W.B. Eldridge and Glen Eldridge; sisters, Rita Carnes, Dorotha Nell Melton and Wanda Minton.
Survivors include her children and their spouses, Katherine Jo (Scott) Hall of Princeton, West Virginia, Charles Thomas (Brenda) Kast of San Antonio, Linda Sue Downs of Floresville and James Peter (Patrice) Kast of Broomfield, Colorado; grandchildren, Raegan DeVor, Bryan (Jenny) Downs, Courtney (Cecil) Sorsby, Suzette (Timothy) Jendrusch, Jennifer (Matthew) Wimpee, Tommy Kast, Brandon (Christina) Kast, Marissa Kast and Anna Kast; eight great-grandchildren; brother, Darrell (Wanda) Eldridge of Kalkaska, Michigan; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service for Josephine will be held Saturday, February 11, 2017 at 12:00 pm at Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home with visitation beginning at 11:00 am. She will be interred next to her beloved husband in St. Louis Catholic Cemetery.
