Joe Hollis Beall, of San Antonio, formerly of Pearsall, died Wednesday, June 6, 2018, at the age of 77. He was born September 28, 1940, to the late Dr. & Mrs. Wendell E. Beall in Pearsall, TX. He graduated Pearsall High School after which he continued his education at Texas A&M University where he was a Cadet in The Corps.
He met Betty Jean Stacy in 1953 and they were married September 1, 1962. They started their family on the Beall family farm in Derby, TX and moved back to Pearsall in 1980 where they raised two kids, Annalisa and Stacy Beall.
After 37 years of marriage, he lost Jean to liver cancer on November 3, 1999.
Hollis enjoyed cheering on his beloved Texas Aggie football team, cheering AGAINST anything Longhorn related, playing golf, watching his grandkids play sports and growing tomatoes.
He is survived by his loving wife, Delores Maria (Lopez) Beall; his daughter, Annalisa (Norman) Geisler, granddaughter, Allison Geisler, grandson, Wesley Geisler and great-grandson, Camden Hamilton, all of Leander, TX, his favorite nephew, Aaron Stacy of Jasper, TX and many other nieces, nephews and family members.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, his beloved Jean, his son Stacy Dean Beall, sister Martha Stacy Cain, brother Judson B. Beall and Aunt & Uncle, Mr. & Mrs. Joseph A. Polaski.
Joe Hollis, “Papa” will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.
A celebration of his life was held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 9, 2018, at the Hurley Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Brian Blackburn officiating, followed by burial at Pearsall Cemetery.
