Gloria Patteson, 85 of Devine, Texas went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, January 21, 2018. Gloria, known as Beady to her siblings, was born on June 20, 1932 in George West, Texas. She spent most of her youth in Devine and married Lester Patteson, Sr. of Devine on February 17, 1951. Over the next 11 years they had six children; Belinda, Connie, Rhonda, Thelma, Lester Jr., and Pamela. Gloria was a housewife and devoted wife and mother, known for extending her loving hands of care to family and friends, a true selfless saint has arrived in heaven. She was a loving caregiver to her grandchildren and others and adored by her family.
Gloria is preceded in death by her husband, Lester, and daughter, Pamela; her mother, Sally Foster Davis; her father, Ples Jefferson Davis; and four sisters.
She is survived by her five children and three son-in-laws: Belinda and Frank Levek of Devine, Connie and Robert Gregory of Devine, Rhonda and Bill Cass of Pleasanton, Thelma Kennedy of San Antonio, and Lester Patteson, Jr. of Devine; eight grandchildren: Brandy Flores, Dustin Mask, Mandie Buvia, Derek Patteson, Courtney Bailey, Stephanie Cass, Christopher Levek, and Pamela McGowan; stepgrandchildren Michael Cass and Andrea Stone; six great-grandchildren: Nathanial McGowan, Chloe Timmermann, Brandon Buitron, Cheyanne Buitron, Trenton and Landon Mask; six step great-grandchildren: Will, Kaylin, Lexi and Olivia Cass and Audrey and Patrick Stone; three brothers, three sisters, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A graveside service will be held Thursday, January 25, 2018 at 11:00 am at Evergreen Cemetery in Devine.
